Unless he's a mechanic in their fleet managament, I don't know where in that industry they would use hybrid batteries. Next thing we know, you might have a relative who's a welding technician at NASA too.

    Well, if it's a cluster for your exact car model it should be a fairly simple case of unplugging your current cluster and plugging in your new one. If you're not sure of how to remove your current cluster, goto a decent electrician and he should be able to do it for you. Whole thing shouldnt take anything more than a hour or 2 at most. Sadly I have no idea about price or places in Kandy to find one.

    I agree with your garage guy. Sounds like a roll-back gone wrong. I doubt that just the odometer can be fixed/repalced successfully. You can try, but then again it might work for a few days and go bust again. The easier thing would be to replace the mere cluster. It shouldn't be too hard to find a Allion meter cluster in delkanda.

    I hope you understand that both cars come from the same source. It's just that latter was USED in singapore. The most common thing you would see in the 'singapore import' is that it might have leather seats. Mechanically they should be identical.

    All this talk about Lancer EXs over the last few days has had me paying attention to these cars too. The other day I saw this one. a very simple matt-black sticker and a tiny red sticker, but boy does it change the whole vibe about the car. And the best thing is that you can revert to the original status within minutes if you dont like it.

    Why don't you just call the RMV and explain the situation. They'll be the best people to advise you. But at least send the RMV a copy of the forms you have so that you have some form of proof should there be a complication in the future.

    I find this hard to believe. It's a digital value, not like a number written on paper where you just go erase a digit. Hence I would believe that at the core, it would be represented in binary, hence multiple's of 2 (1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128.....) Or worse at a slightly higher level it would be in something like 2.3*10^4.. Even in this case if they can change the "4", any of the other digits should be changeable.

    The steps/costs were given in detail before. You can do a search to find the thread. But in a jist, you take your plates to the RMV, pay the fee, hand in the old plates and collect the new ones later.

    There was this thread on elakiri written buy a FZ16 owner. Fella knew that bike wheel-to-wheel. I came across it when someone shared the thread here on the AL forum. I tried looking for it here, but failed. You might want to look it up. It was really nicely written and will be very useful as a FZ16 owner

    This is the est solution suggested thus far. The flies would have gone in from SOME hole. Find it. use a small tube connected to a vacuum cleaner and send it through the same hole and suck those flies out.

    I myself don't know what I would do if i had to choose between 2 models like this. At times we think of saving some money. But then when it's a car that I'll be using for a long time, i feel like i wouldnt mind treating myself to some fancy creature comforts. If you CAN spare the extra cash why not... loosing a bit of cash that would have otherwise just sat in your bank is better than going through that sense of regret over not treating yourself.. It REALLY REALLY boils down to personal preference and budget.

    Yeah, and along the lines was highwayman, the truck cum helicopter. And not to forget the classics, Airwolf and Knight Rider. I have been having a retro-crime-fighting craving and started watching airwolf few months ago, and I cant believe we were into some of those pretty cheesy dialogs and plots.
