  1. Podi Lamaya's question is not the question you're answering. That's what I'm curious about too.
  2. It only says that those in the respective categories will be given priority. it doesn't say anything about the existing DLs (cards) being cancelled (if one does not choose to get the new CD card any time soon)...
  3. It's the same thing brother... if you're looking to "minimize loss" you should be looking at something that will depreciate less.. If its a 2012 car (1 year old), when you sell it in a year it will be twice as old. But if you buy a 10 year old car it will be only 1/10 as much older. You cant have the cake and eat it too... So just buy a Corolla 121, put the balance money in a FD, and sell off the car a tad cheaper than market value. You're car will be sold in a few days and the money in your FD would have gotten you enough interest to offset the loss by selling the car cheaper.. But Mr. Perera next door won't be impressed by your 'old' car..
  4. OT: Well, I didnt get into that cos it was OT, and hardly a valid comparison. It's a bicycle so its not like I use it for my office (or other important) commutes. It's a white one with black stripes though. But when I bought it I got something I wanted, not something that a potential 2nd hand bike buyer would want in the years to come. Then it's a bicycle, not a lot of maintenance/parts required, but I know parts are expensive for a bike in that range. So it's not like there's any other choice. So if I liked it and could afford it I didnt see a reason to not get it. If I were to do a comparison, I can use another example. I was in the market to get my next motorcycle. I had 2 options, a Honds XR which are available dime a dozen and are bullet-proof engines, or a Suzuki DRZ, of which there's nothing more than 15 examples in the island. But for my personal reasons I wanted a the DRZ (like VCBI chose the RR as opposed ot a LC200).. I knew it wasnt going to be as trouble free as the honda but I liked it. So I got it. I knew I'd be putting money into this bike over time, and VBCI should expect the same for his RR. It is inevitable Mr. Anderson. So going back to my point if you can afford it, just go for it. So excuse me for not sugar coating my opinion, I stand by it. Expendable cash sitting in your bank account won't bring you as much joy as experiencing a ride you truly desire. Afterall that IS why you're buying a RR and not a LC200.
  5. Yep, but you missed my middle name, n-sexy. I dont know you too well, so you can call me by my full name smart-n-sexy-arse!
  6. If you're on a trip and your RR breaks down, and it needs to be brought/towed back to the agent. If the part is in stock you'll get your RR in a couple of days, if not weeks. So it doesnt matter if parts are easy to find or if maintenance is expensive. You're trip is ruined either way.
  7. Well, Rocket baby may have the money to buy a Atom, but he's only racing himself. It's like being marooned on a deserted island with a 10" d!ck. At the end of the day all you do is play with yourself. But didn't he also have a STi10 which he raced in foxhill? At one time there was the rocket craze now the racing craze.
  8. an evoque is 11mil? F#@k!!! And to think I step onto a road in sri lanka and I see a evoque or 2 every day,. I always thought it was probably priced a tad more than a feelander.
  9. by Ariel must have been doing some sort of charity drive by giving a unemployed son of a humble people's servent.. Not like a normal poor unemployed graduate can afford one..
  10. When it comes to cars there no problem money cant solve man.. You say you wont be running it much.. so when something's wrong just send it to the agent and they'll fix it up for you.. and I'm sure they'll even come pick it up and drop it off for you if THAT is your problem.. and if running cost or service cost or resale value isnt a problem, why are you still here asking allion-mentality questions? just go buy the dam thing.. I started following this thread thinking it would be an interesting read.. but this thread is starting to suck balls now!
  11. import it from abroad....as opposed to.......?
  12. So which of these is standard? Btw can I bring down Tomatoes on a permit? this big one looks about 2000cc..
  13. A Range Rover is a luxury item. if you need to ask how much a luxury item costs, that means you probably shouldn't buy it.
  14. You're most welcome! But you're gathering of info wont be relevant in 35 days time cos you only gather info for the period of August-September 2013. But a polos malluma will be tasty and relevant forever!
  15. VVTi, I find your "1/2 Tomato" very generic, since tomatoes vary in size.
  16. Hey guys, It would be nice if you all could elaborate on the type of recipes for polos mallum available currently (aug-sept 2013) , the amount of cholesterol and side dishes that go well with it! Any important stuff about kos, plucking them off the tree (or buying them), precautions and so on shared here would be useful to many of our forum readers as well as those who google search it! Here's my contribution: Ingredients200 g Jack fruit 1 onion 1 slice ginger 2 cloves garlic 2 no Kocchi 50 g grated coconut 1/2 tsp mustered powder 1 tsp tumaric powder 1 tsp crushed pepper karapincha salt Method Step 1put onion, kocchi, karapincha, pepper, ginger, garlic in to the hand grinder Step 2and add coconut and tumaric and mustered next. 17. Well, they didn't include the Lambo or the Mclaren that beat it last time. Excluding cars that beat it previously and willing is hardly a 'win'. Anyway, this is as objective as a top gear challenge.
  18. 7.53pm to 8.47pm; the efforts put into this deserve a round of applause! If only our newbie's put 1/4 of this sort of effort into finding the fuel efficiency of an Allion 260 or the best car for 2.0million, this forum would be a better place to be in...
  19. Couldn't have said it better. Looks like ONE brand of spoilt milk powder is "THE" thing this week. Who cares about the kids killed by the army for the crime of wanting clean drinking water. That was soo last week. edit: Translation: Had I known that I would loose you, I wouldn't have asked for a drop of water.
  20. A couch casting one might say
  21. I found this hilarious because I didn't even have to think twice on WHY. I should be embarrassed
  22. A government agwncy's website is hardly the most "up-to-date", but those who actually pay an electricity bill would know. Anyway, I was just watching the TG segment and it says the vehicle is GBP30,000, which is more than Rs.6 million looks like the car's dropped in price significantly over the months.
  23. I know! I keep wanting to do it too. But as sadistic as I am to these people, I lack the patience to do so.
  24. That RX-7 is very Lexus LFA-ish
  25. My solution is to first give a courtesy horn to ask him to move, else flash my headlights continuously as a final warning...if that fails, overtake from the left and cut right back into the right lane very close (preferably scaring her/him into suddenly braking).
