Amen to that I'm having a major love hate relationship with mine right now. But show it an open highway or some gravel, it'll justify all the heartache.

Uk/australia Imported Vehicles Pros & Cons
Watchman replied to MoneyMaker's topic in General Automotive
What exactly do you mean by the 2 points I have highlighted? -
Komi are you looking to buy a HDD? what are prices like in Colombo? Might be cheaper in SG, and the wait wont be too long

Technically, if you are in the middle of the road you are "ON" the road; don't you agree? Jokes aside, height shouldn't be a big issue after a few rides and the xr250/baja isnt very tall either. I ride a DRZ400 (scrambler, not SM). At 168cm i'm on the shorter side and stand on tip-toes when the bike is stationary, but once i'm moving its hardly an issue. I think the 'ease of maneuvering' is also personal preference and perception. There's so many of these bikes out there for sale, so why don't you just go evaluate the fun for yourself. Afterall you are the best person to judge the bike most suited for you.

I think you need identify what you're going to use this for. Are you going to off-road with it or not? The AX-1 is neither a proper adventure bike nor a proper scrambler (trail bike), so you'll be caught in no-man's land. Since this is going to be a secondary vehicle, if I were you would should look at getting something fun rather than something boring and practical.

I think all the reminiscing is because to those of us who were teenagers in the late 90s and ealy 2000s, porn was something that didnt easily come by. I remember being the only guy who had a computer in my class and I used to get a print out for a friend of mine. Those few minutes that a old bubble-jet printer took to print a photo in your dad's office room were some of the most intense moments of my life. you can minimize or turn off the screen if someone walks in when you're watching stuff. But imagine someone walking in while your printer is going kiri kiri kiri kiri kraaaaaaaaaak!!! kiri kiri kiri kiri kraaaaaaaaaak!!! spitting out a X rated photo! The lady in the photo wouldnt be the only one f**ked at that point.

Back when Amazon was primarily selling books (maybe about 10 years ago), I had bought some books which were shipped to Sri Lanka, without a hassle.

You the man! A friend of mine got married and the very next day told his wife about his collection. He was promptly told to delete everything. And the dumbass went ahead and did it without even transferring it out to anyone. He regrets it now, cos now he has to wait till his wife goes to her parents' place to have his own personal happy time.

Komi, I'll have 50GB of space when I come to SL. I'm always a great supporter of local industries if you know what I mean.. With the advancement of technology I hear there's loads of home-made products in the market as opposed to the commercial stuff which was the only option in the past.

Yes, our hard-disks should meet indeed haha! Reminds me of school day's where we used to carry around a IDE cable and bulky 5GB hard drive covered in bubble-wrap to exchange "good stuff"... Youngsters these days have it so easy.. 64GB of storage on a thumbdrive smaller than you pinky finger and high speed internet..
-
I'll be in SL sometime in early August. I was hoping to meet old folks I havent met in ages and the new folks I am yet to meet. How about another karting outing? Those who keep complaining of Dev's and my DRS advantage please start your diets ASAP.

Ohh I see!! Thanks thanks! Shit man.. what's happening to me.. i used to have a very dirty and perverted mind... it's going all clean and innocent..

Looking For A Toyota Celica Between Years 1972-1977
Watchman replied to ABR's question in Car Buying Information
what is it with this sudden retro car craze.. -
Welcome. It's nice to see a newbie who wants to blend into the culture rather than rock the boat with bad attitude. 1) I think you go from newbie to member after a 100 posts or something like that. But none of us actually care about that. 2) Warnings are given by the moderators if you misbehave. If your warning level goes too high they will ban you. But you have to be a real a$$hole for that to happen. Your warning is only seen by you (and the moderators MADZ, Periclies, The Don, Supra_Natural). 3) I guess that depends on your browser and tablet 4) The highlighted threads are the ones that have had new posts since you last read/visited it. 5) The thread you posted on will goto the top of the "New content". Normally you bring up an old thread if your question is very similar in nature to that thread, and can help give context or additional help for someone who reads it in the future one day. 6) Each post has a Up/Down button on the bottom right corner. It's a rating. So everytime someone rates you "Up", your points get a +1. And likewise if someone rates you "Down" you get -1. But honestly, that too is a general indicator only, and people's perception of you is based on what you say/do rather than your 'points'. Hope you enjoy your stay!

fatjoe, I believe you are too late. There was a whole lot of sh!t going on about these parts... Rachitha gave these parts to dingy for free and someone else who has Dingy's exact real name and dingy's exact mobile number tried to sell them off online. But if Dingy hasn't sold the parts yet and doesnt need them, I dont think he will have any objection in giving them to you.

IIRC, I think the OP mentioned that the last service was done at 13k at the agent (hence how he found out that the meter was turned). He might have mentioned this on his other thread on this issue.. I doubt the agent will try to authenticate if the OP is the initial owner, so he might be able to slip by that..
-
I dont know bro, knowing our agents they'll claim that the OP ran more than the 60k and hence no longer covered under warranty. Or they can simply say that you messed with the car hence, warranty void. I say just service the car elsewhere till you pass the 13k mark and then go for the next free service.

Ahh.. Makes sense I guess... Btw Supra, what happened to your beetle? Is it still with you?

I admit the car IS flawless, and it probably DID cost the owner around that number to do it up. But an enthusiast puts money into a project not because he can mark up the price when selling. He does it cos he's loving the restoration project. Another example, Komi's integra; If you sum the price of the base car and the upgrade parts/labour and put it up for sale, that car might not sell, but at the same time if you offer komi a 100+k on top of what he's spent, he probably wont take the offer either cos its more than a bag of cash to him. But you certainly know more about these cars and their ownerships/prices; I still feel people who buy these 'ready-made' cars are depriving themselves of a very special experience. Different strokes for different folks...

It was featured on the last MoTorque epsisode. I admit the car really is mint, but the question is would you be willing to spend 2.5mil on one of these. The joy in most of these cars is in the shedding of sweat and tears on the restoration process rather than the ownership itself. It's like raising a kid to see him/her grow up and succeed in life as opposed to paying some 19 year old university student to be your adopted kid.

uhhhh... guys, why are we twisting our panties over this... This organization has been around for a while.. and nor are they the first.. I think SLIC started this repair center concept. As the conflict of interest, well, going to the insurance company's repair centre is only ONE option, its not mandatory. So its upto the car owner to decide which way he goes.

Still doesnt exactly make the buzzer any less tasteless. Btw since visibility is the main issue for you why dont you get a string of LEDs and stick them all around the car. We've also seen cheesy tagline and catch-phrases stuck on the back of BMWs.. it still doesn't make those phrases any cooler than on a three-wheeler.
