  1. Ohh I see.. Well, I guess it's more a problem with the OEM battery than the car itself in this case. And from Sampath's post I see the calliper issue is something unrelated to the battery. Btw out of curiosity, all those ordered that were delayed till the latter half of the year, have they been delivered?
  2. What on earth is a "spilling battery problem?" At first I thought it might be battery water spilling out, but then he went on to talk about a calliper pin. Does the Elite have that many inherent design flaws where owners have decided to name these flaws
  3. edit: a little birdie told me that I should wait and see how things unravel here before sharing my opinion on all this
  4. You didn't give chase?
  5. I predict the following dialogue or something similar: Alonso: "What is kimi doing, i'm faster than him! I'm faster than him" Kimi : "Shut up and overtake me if you think you're faster, without crying like a lil-b!tch"!
  6. Maybe you could help people help you by at least telling them what your pickup is.
  7. Dude, it's a pickup. a few kilos on a hard-top canopy wont make that big a difference. It will be more secure and the hardtop looks much nicer. And theoretically the hardtop would be much more aerodynamic hence less resistance leading to better fuel efficiency. Few other alternatives: 1. use partially worn out tyres. (Less rubber, less weight, less energy wasted) 2. Remove spare wheel. 3. Don't take any passengers 4. Remove the AC compressor (less weight plus less strain on the engine) 5. (optional) Remove the doors, (saves you weight, and eliminates the hassle of having to open and close the door everytime you get in/out.)
  8. Depending on the brand you have different quantities per tyre... The brand i'm familiar with is one called "Slime" and it's about 230ml per dirt bike tyre.
  9. Well So far none of them have reported any issues.. Do you know how much slime/liquid the tyre shop added? There's a recommended quantity based on the tyre. So if they added more than required I would think the excess would simply be moving around the tyre when rotating.
  10. Well, it's primarily a matter of convenience. If you travel on roads that have nails and debris of sorts you might want to try this out. It's simply easier to fill up the tyres with this and let it sit inside rather than have to perform a tyre change. A couple of my riding friends use this (and I ordered a couple of bottled myself) as a puncture on a motorcycle while trailing can become a very serious problem.
  11. Machan LongJohn, What does your friend drive? Is it a Viva Elite?
  12. Leaving aside that this whole story is hearsay, why didn't your friend go back? Is he that big a pansy-boy to go address a person/organization that has wronged him?
  13. But do you wash them and hang them out to dry on your car seat?
  14. Did you piss yourself? Colour doesnt run unless the pants were wet...
  15. You're quoting the wrong post S_N. But I agree with your point, Just because some guy get's on TV (not that the program that features him is credible to begin with), doesn't make every word coming out of his mouth accurate. L@l's advice should always be taken with a pinch of salt. I believe some forum members had some bad experience with his workshop and attitude too some years back.
  16. Yes, It's a panda. http://sg.news.yahoo.com/photos/improvised-weapons-of-syria-slideshow/improvised-weapons-of-syria-photo-1377612810988.html
  17. She's going to ruin the thread on that lugnut by doing that...
  18. Why else would the army do such testsdude? To enlist of course
  19. Of course it's bad.. I wouldnt want that job either.. It would kill me if all i could do was touch, and I wasn't allowed to play play I'd either end up quitting or in court for rape.
  20. A friend working in CPC said that they accidentally found out that biologically processed alcohol is also known to increase efficiency in most modern petrol engines. They found this when one of the guards as sapugaskanda accidentally got drunk and pissed into a petrol containment chamber. Samples tested on japanese petrol cars have 15.7% better efficiency. So next time u get piss drunk dont go peeing in bushes and drains; piss into your petrol tank; you'll be making our streets cleaner and saving $$$ in the process.
  21. Come on man in today's economy paying 750 bucks to have you balls juggled is a bargain! Think of the new lisence as a freebee
  22. What are you talking about bro? Podi Lamaya asked "Will___________?" to which the answer should be a YES or NO. You're replying to a questions "Why__________?" to which is answered by a essay type answer.
  23. Well Kavz, I have no problem with people having concerns of fuel consumption or maintenance costs. As per OP, he doesnt mind the bad fuel consumption, the cost maintaining it nor the bad resale value. And he says he wont be running it much meaning he probably has another vehicle in case the RR is in the shop. So I dont see why he shouldnt go ahead with the RR. Like I said, there's no problem money cant solve on a car; and VBIC may have 99 problems but money aint one of them. So he should stop worrying about unpredictable things like some fancy electronics going bust spontaneously, and just buy the RR. If it breaks get it fixed and drive on smiling. Simple. Life is short, drive that car you love. And like they say, if you cant not turn around and take a 2nd look at your car after parking it, you have't bought the right car. I'm blessed to have my bikes which, even after over a year of ownership i still take a 2nd look at and smile before walking away from.
  24. Hey petty boy, Why dont you explain to asanka and us why you think your suggestions are more valid than someone else's. Or are you the all mighty oracle of the motoring world.
  25. You dont have to look too hard dude.. if you took one look at us you'll see the ugliness is not at all hidden
