What really causes traffic problems in this country are the big Ashok Leyland buses. Seriously. They're almost double the width of the old Mitsubishi Rosas and when they stop for passengers, NOTHING can get past them. If you observe traffic patterns near bus stops you'll see what I mean.

You may be right about the BMW engine being a four. After all, it WAS a production-based block. The guy who built it, and who used to encourage the pissing on it, was their legendary engine builder Paul Roche. I cant be bothered looking it up, but I think the Honda engine was a V6. Alright, Pila here's a question: Why was motor racing (apart from hill-climbing) banned in Switzerland in the mid fifties? It is still banned to this day by the way, although it may change soon.

Dont waste your time or your money with an LR. Buy something Japanese and it'll outperform any over-hyped British bucket on any given day. Believe me bra, I know a guy that had an immaculate 110 County that was always at the agents for repairs, or being towed back to Colombo by me. On the days that it did run, it was a horrible drive. Yet, ten years after buying it, he got MORE THAN DOUBLE what he paid for it, but that tells you more about the local car market than it does about crappy old Land Rovers. But I'm sure it was still a losing venture for him because parts for it were apparently phenomenally expensive. And he replaced many, many parts on the thing despite the fact that he babyed it. PS: A stock Nissan Patrol will eat a stock Land Rover alive in the muddy bits.

Gihan is correct. The old BMW and Honda 1.5 V6 engines were the hottest, esp. in qualifying trim, when they went in excess of 1400 hp with the boost turned up, which was more than the team dynos were capable of showing. Or is this a trick question, Kris?

There is this place in Delkanda that brings down Minis and associated Mini bits from Japan. They have all kinds of junk like Mini wheels, Weber carbs and even old 10 inch A032R tyres. I believe they're called Mine's Auto.

This begs the question: where are you going to drive it? The MIT campus? That should be a lot of fun. There are a few around that I know of, and it shouldn't be too hard to get a hold of one.

Not really, bra. These guys had their cars impounded because either they were caught street racing, or they had parts of stolen cars in them. If street racers just cruise carefully, people wouldn't die, so lets just debunk the myth that these kids have been wronged, because they haven't been. They were doing something illegal and dangerous, and they paid the price. All the romance of street racing disappears the moment somebody dies, so more power to the cops if they are forcing these jackasses to take their show to proper tracks instead of suburban neighbourhoods. Its not cool having your car stolen to be parted out, either. If these boys were racing in large, empty industrial roads or in the open countryside which minimized the possibility of bystander fatalities, then I'm sure the cops wouldn't care but racing through neighbourhoods?? Give me a break.

Nadeera has already started a B16 Mini project, if I'm not mistaken. The only holdup is apparently the lack of a good B-series gearbox.
