  1. Thanks Kulunu. Mail sent.
  2. What was the speed this crash occurred? Is this one yours? How reliable has it been overall? I was thinking repairs will be covered by warranty for 2 years. Micro bragged about service being prompt and gave an example as how they maintain all the Renault trucks. I guess that is mostly marketing. The permit one doesn't have the sunroof or the privacy glass. The rest is the same. Cost is close to 5 Mil. However it'll be a 2008 model. I would like to have a chat with you if you can share your email or phone number.
  3. I'm hoping it is! Because my one is just about to be delivered.
  4. Thanks for the posts Kulunu It looked kind of weird to have such a head on collision. Since you saw this first had what is your opinion on the safety of the Rexton? Was the dashboard intact? Di it intrude into cabin? Also there seems to be blood on the air bag?
  5. Looks like a head-on crash, I suspect the driver fell asleep. Anyway I do see a crumple in the the front cabin roof. Are there any side pics? I don't know what to make of this. Is it safe? Or not? It doesn't matter howbad the front collapsed, all depends on how well the cabin survived.
  6. Same age diesel one goes around 5 Mil.
  7. I'de say the Kelissa is one of the best mini cars around. It's way better than any of the Indian cars, the Chinese cars and the Micro trend. I've heard very good reviews about fuel consumption too. This car is actually an older model Daihatsu Mira. I would suggest you pick the Kelissa because the Kenari's just looks comical. I'm sure our ace racing driver Mivec.Turbo will give you 100 reasons why should buy one!
  8. "Wind in the face" convertible motoring with twice the engine, twice the size and half the price to that of the notorious metal bodied Beat.
  9. This seems to be the first public pictures of the Microcars factory. Not the usual high-tech factory, but you can say it's "Hand Built" http://www.lankanewspapers.com/news%5C2008...e_headline.html
  10. I Agree with Dilesh. My Parents have had diesel cars as long as I can remember. Also I've been using diesels cars for the last 2-3 years. The maintenance is not a nightmare as people would like to think. Diesel cars are taking the world by storm these days with every manufacturer adding more diesel powered family rides and even sports cars to their list. However with the restrictive car taxes we will not be able to enjoy the latest technology diesels have to offer. But for day to day running, a diesel car will be lighter on your pocket, even after you pay for a complete engine overhaul.
  11. I think you're right. And this picture seems to be of the one example in Sri Lanka. Location seems to be right next to MC, where it could be seen parked sometimes.
  12. Maybe it's not him, might be the new owner... it was so hot a deal it was sold instantly
  13. Pirelli - Amil** Tyre House.
  14. According to newly introduced laws hobby grade R/C cars are illegal. You might be able to pickup a slightly used one from someone though. But I've seen toy grade R/C cars in leading toy stores.
  15. I think it's my turn, I'll pass it onto Sharkster.
  16. Benz pageant is organized and sponsored by the agents D*MO. Prestige automobiles who are the agents for BMW are interested in selling a couple of cars that's it. They don't seem to want to go beyond that. As a matter of fact they don't even care if the cars don't comeback for services.. Their focus is the turnover from new imports. Last time I had a chat with the sales manager at Prestige he said they have no intention of bringing down the 1 series, as it requires a lot of investment because it's a new model range.
  17. Jaguar XK convertibel
  18. No worries, Is it only the RS model that comes with the antenna?
  19. 96/97 Subaru Legacy
  20. Looks like it was too simple. This particular example was actually from the SS Ute.
  21. If you're talking about me, I'm a good 10 1/2 hours behind of SL these days.
  22. I remember it was being quoted about 300K as far as I can remember.
  23. Red one was a LHD, which might have been in Ajm**'s car sale which used to be on Cotta Rd. The blue car(Mr. Perera's old car) is a RHD.
  24. 1971 Maserati Ghibli. BTW, the Khasmin in the country has almost the same wheel design. I was digging along those lines.
