Can they?? I thought the SC can overrule/overturn any decision even it is made by the govt. But not sure who is superior… SC or the executive powers of the President status. Doubt president will interfere in this matter. Be patient boy… not available in SL yet. In fact no gas available in most of the stations.

Yes… Finally it’s official. Guys have a reserve to run couple of days. Already I saw a gas station with a “no petrol” sign. Last time also just before the budget, they stopped carrying a full load of petrol to minimize the losses. And some went up to the extent of adding Kerosene to the petrol tanks. So as a precautionary measure I pumped 3/4 of my tank (it was 1/4 full anyway). Don’t think about what you’ll save after the reduction. That extra 1000/- you spend today might save you a million tomorrow.

Their calculations are different. Anyhow gas will be reduced to 98/-, according to latest reports.

According to MTV News Govt. is taxing 189% on petrol. My calculations cames up with the figure Rs.76/- after the reduction. According to the news SC has ordered the Govt. to look in to this before Wednesday. One thing for sure, all the petrol sheds will run out of gas soon. Better pump a full tank. When I opened this thread I gave an emoticon to the title. Can I change it to now?

Since the SC has ordered to withhold payments to banks regarding hedging deal, the full profit slice is enjoyed by the Ceypetco/govt. Can’t they give us a better deal? Or am I being too greedy, too fast… At least something is better than nothing.

I Peri is correct... it is not a White Gold car. These are chrome plated cars. You get quite a few in those Arabic countries. As well as so called Diamond studded (and again those are not real Diamonds)

It’s the matter of you getting use to the center meter cluster. Had a difficult time getting use to mine as well in the beginning. But now I think it’s better than the conventional meter cluster. Lesser time and adjustment between, road---meter reading---road again, and undisturbed view. But again spouse factor is a definite disadvantage. Isn’t turbo kicking @ 2000-2500 too low in others, and heavy on your wallet, if it’s your daily drive? Hmmm… 6000 is bit too high as well. I would like it @ around 4000… I think since X-trail is a SUV, it may be not for high end acceleration, but for low end torque.
