  9. Sorry AnUsHa_SL for diverting your thread a bit… I can remember sometime back someone advertised on the classified, a small unit that could be fixed to cars with mirror retract feature, so that whenever you switch off the engine the mirror retracts automatically. Does anybody have that contact? I think he also advertised on auto dimming in-cabin lamps / or headlamps as well.

  11. You’ll find this informative. http://www.motortraffic.gov.lk/services.php
  12. Chk my reply in this earlier post for the rates... http://forum.autolanka.com/index.php?a...=&pid=76716 Yes… Theoretically you’ll have to pay the luxury/semi-luxury taxes on the due date. Penalty for late payments is 50%. Last time I inquired, the law on the payment of the taxes is getting tougher. Since my car payments were done on time by the previous owner, I had no issue on the insurance. I got the insurance done on the car before this one although the taxes were not up-to-date. But anyhow I cleared all the taxes (with penalties) before I sold that. My advice is, if possible sort out the payment with the previous owner. One day you’ll have to pay the taxes with penalties when you’re ready to sell the car in few years if the new owner requests you to pay the dues. If the deal is already finalized, wait till you sell the car in few years and if necessary pay the dues then. Since the taxes are already overdue and there won’t be any accumulation of penalties, why not pay when only required. Anyway congrats on your new acquire. Plz post some pics.

Were they sleeping when it was going down? They might say “ahh… prices of crude has gone up again in the US… It’s time to increase the prices here again”

    Exactly
  22. So what’s your recommendation??? Fix an AE radiator to the FB???
  23. It’s been there for some time now. First time I saw this in Timbirigasyaya, I just thought I saw the much talked about AM.
  24. Yes it got a Plastic top & Pila’s advice is the best sensible thing to do. Failing you could get a recon radiator (if you’re lucky you could run few more years with that or may be few km’s. no guarantee on that) or get a copper from a place like Radiator H. (good quality two core and better than the standard but the finish is not that good)
  25. If everybody thinks like you do when they have a problem with their vehicle, there won’t be any vehicle on the road today. NONE of the brand or make is indestructible. In the case of the Primera CVT (I guess you had a CVT AUTO TP12) it’s the maintenance and maintains it correctly. When I had the HP11 M6 one of the supervisors at Auto.M recommended me normal ATF oil. Luckily I knew what to use for CVT’s. I could have busted my GB as well as if I’ve listened to him. As Ripper and Pila mentioned somebody must have used an ATF or must not have maintained it properly. I can feel your situation in a position like this. My advice to you also is taking it to a proper mechanic who knows his stuff and gets a second opinion.
