  1. The panda categorically does NOT get 15Km to the liter. Even the agents only claim 11 in the city.
  2. I'll agree with you on the comfort/driving pleasure factor for the price but I'm calling UTTER BULLSHIT on your, "Owned it for 6 months and didn't visit the mechanic once".. That's entirely possible, IF YOU LEFT THE DAMN THING PARKED. How much mileage did you do over the last 6 months? My car is used every day, and in the year I have owned it it's covered nearly 12,000KM. Every single one of those KMs was a lot of fun but I certainly had to deal with plenty of issues along the way. Not saying that I regret it for one moment, just that it's nowhere near as trouble free as a similar age Toyota would have been. And while I personally Love the thing, I wouldn't go around recommending it to every Tom, Dick and Harry like you do. Euros of this vintage are amazing cars, but they do need TLC if they are going to be used every day. So I regret to say, you are talking through your Ass my friend. My goodness, what a list. So which of your imaginary relatives/friends owns the Santa Fe and the Montero Sport then?
  3. Well Said sir, Well said! Sylvi, it's idiotic actions like you describe that gives endless headaches to present day owners who want to restore these machines the way they are supposed to be. These were PERFORMANCE cars of their time for heaven's sake.... Idiots like you whose only concern was squeezing the last mile out of a gallon should have stuck to your Bullock carts.
  4. And yet you regularly recommend that people go for 10-12 year old European cars..... I mean, we all know you are an idiot, but at least try to be consistent in your idiocy!
  5. Aaaand that's why it's important to read through threads first, folks.... Else you end up looking like this gentleman right here. Clueless, and unaware of it!
  6. That was a rather pointless post wasn't it? I mean its clear enough what the bugger means.... stop polluting threads.
  7. No it is not along da Base line road... its in kohuwala.
  8. This statement just proves how much of a no-nothing idiot you are I'm afraid.... Who the hell gets "angry by the lexus name"?? I mean WTF?
  9. Its not THAT great a motor... too much car for it to be properly quick IMO. Plus those Superchargers DO go pop and when they do you're looking at close on a million bucks to replace em. I'd stick with the 240. It has a six after all.
  10. In that case, let me spell out a word that describes you pretty accurately... R-E-T-A-R-D do you imagine you're being clever by acting like a j***a$$?
  11. Shows how much you know, The oil cap is not always an indicator of engine sludge as it can form in various different places in the engine's oil passages. Also, how can you be certain what mileage the engine has done? What if the other components within the engine are worn out? Better the devil you know, I always say. At least with his own engine, once the OP spends the rebuild/repair money he knows the problem is solved for sure.
  12. Say what now? did you head to Unkels and smoke some of the good stuff he claims to hit every morning or something?
  13. ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS Q: WHATS THIS CAR? A: A TOYOTA COROLLA WITH AN ANCIENT DIESEL ENGINE BOUGHT BY GULLIBLE FOOLS BECAUSE IT HAS A TOYOTA BADGE Q: HOW TO FIND ONE? A: LOOK IN THE NEWSPAPERS, AL CLASSIFIEDS ETC Q: ITS RARE WHY IS THIS? A: BECAUSE THERE WEREN'T AS MANY GULLIBLE FOOLS AS EXPECTED Q: PLEASE EXPLAIN COROLLA LOVERS A: NO ONE CAN EXPLAIN COROLLA LOVERS, THEY SEEM TO BE A UNIQUELY SRI LANKAN PHENOMENON. 14. Yes unkel, we know you post typing errors. Also you have provided examples of grammar errors, logic errors, sanity errors and bowel errors to name a few.
  15. The Cefiro is a good car, the only downside is that it's a bit on the thirsty side. If thats not an issue, go for it! Most of them have already hit the lower point of their depreciation curve anyway.
  16. eh, my bad.. post deleted
  17. A'ight we got another!! PM jdnet or watchman for specifics, what's your ride?
  18. For heaven's sake old man, NO ONE GIVES A DAMN!

  20. WHATEVER THE SELLERS ARE QUOTING THESE DAYS. LOOK IN THE NEWSPAPERS AND THE A/L CLASSIFIEDS IT SHOULD GIVE YOU A GOOD IDEA!
  21. And who is going to pay for the sludge clean up on the used jap engine? Yourself?
  22. Saturn SC2
  23. Err... why? The dog looks terrified, which is obvious... what did you think he meant?
  24. Fashionable? WTF? what the heck does that mean? We aint talking about clothes here. And your second point is just plain wrong, leather seats work fine in SL as long as you keep them fed and conditioned. Only slight issue is that they are a B**ch to sit on when the car has been parked in the sun for a few hours.
  25. Oy! using the BMW is not fair, that has a Manual box and a bloomin' short shift kit as well! Bring the Alfa.. And you're right, it IS shaping up to be one hell of an event!
