I think export launch will be sometime away, notice that even in the article it says its currently "limited production", I guess because of the factory issues they had... If the car is as good as this article makes it out to be (cant be TOO sure, since Tata is a big advertiser for Autocar India, so they might not want to be nasty about it and lose the revenue), then demand in india alone will be huge, so it'll take a while for supply to catch up.

you can probably pick up a grand cherokee towards the higher end of your budget.... can definitely get the previous model (upto 2004) for less than that.... even the 2005 on model can be found if you look in the right places.

What kinda budget are you looking at? the models you posted cover a pretty broad spectrum of the SUV market..... so let us know your buddy's budget, or at least a ballpark figure

well it COULD be because the owner is LYING!! joking aside though, The Manual Rav 4's are pretty good on fuel, most attribute this to the VVti engine/manual gearbox combination.... although the most i've hear of in city is around 8.5.....
