You know mate, Vigorcomp had been a member of AL for a lot longer than you have, despite the fact that he has a low post count, so I dont think you need to tell him about the make up of the forum. Generally a reason for a question going unanswered are either because it has been discussed before (which can be ascertained by using the search tool) or because nobody who can provide a good answer has seen the thread yet. If you keep the thread going by occasionally putting up a reminder post, someone will likely come across it and do the needful, it's just a matter of being a tad bit patient. As for your statement that people in these forums don't use double cabs etc thats patently untrue! my daily driver is a '93 Toyota Hilux. Besides, plenty of members, like Ripper, Velocity are big fans of double cabs.... so i think it's unfair and, personally speaking, just a little bit offensive of you to make statements like that.

There are several mechanics who specialize in Mercedes Benz vehicles around town a lot of them ex D*MO.... I suppose you could take it to D*MO too, though they will be quite expensive. what is the current condition of the car? can you put a picture up?

I dont think anybody has quite figured out the specific details yet.... personally im quite worried about the effect on older cars.

The "2ltr Issue" is the perception in Sril Lanka that large capacity vehicles are horrible on fuel, therefore engines bigger than around 1.8l on everyday cars are looked upon as a negative issue, with attendant effect on value... there was a 301- camino with a manual box that was up for sale on the AL classifieds. 301- 0303 if i remember correctly, was originally used within A*W.... here's the ad http://www.autolanka.com/ad.asp?ID=7314
