Hi Guys

I am in a need of removing few rust patches on my classic, there are few location that go rust

can any one tell me a good way of cleaning that area and putting a paste of putti and anti corrosive,

i am nil in these type of work can any one explain me how to do it step wise and what products to be used etc etc ?

1. Sand paper the are(use metal sand papers)

2. Use wire-brush if needed

3. wipe with a cloth

4. paint with anti-corrosive paint which can be bought from any Hardware shop.

There's this rust removing gel you can use. I can't remember what it's called but you just apply it over te rusted area and it easts at the rust leaving you with clean metal to work with. Anyway look around. I lovedthat stuff.

Addition to above,

After wire brushing wipe with thinner and also try to find a epoxy primer (Two pack) if u can.There are basically three types of epoxies,

1. Coal tar epoxy

2. Pure Epoxy

3. Modified epoxy,

Out of these No 2 and 3 is better in performances.

For me it is a classic but don't know for you machan , :)

i guess you got real classic MG right ? :)

I have a similar problem

There is corrosion in the undercarriage of my FB15. I don’t think its DIY job.

Any good professional place that can do the job for me ?
