hay theres no japanise spares here arround right? tech motor says that bushes comes from thaiwan. if you need to go for the genuine one have to replace whole arm. one arm costs 10900 in stafford. its too much i think. are there any place to buy japanise bush? i dont think so.

Dear Bro,

Some time back I had a problem with my ek3 lower arm bush and I got replace with a malaysian made bush and the job was done by Waruna at Kesbewa. It was the same story like you said that the agent had the whole arm. After 02 or 03 months same sound came and It was found the bush has partially come out from the housing. At last I happened to put a brand new arm and costed me around 12000 Rs in some where 2000.

I advise you to put the arm instead of bushes for a long lasting solution.

When It comes to bushes and shocks, are there impacts on them if the tires used are low profile? Any experiences you guys had?

lower the profile, more the impact on shocks and bushes.

I guess there is a limit to the number of times you can get away with changing only the bushes. On flip side you do get the more expensive 'made in japan' stuff as well

Did you use Gas shoks or Hydraulic shocks and was the part number correct for your car? When does the noise come? when going over pot holes or in normal driving?

For the bushes you have a 3rd option. Try finding a used arm with good bushes (you've to check the bush thoroughly) from delkanda area.

I did this for the corolla about 2.5 years back and the bush is still holding up. Where as when replaced the bush only, even the Japanese ones brake within a year (mostly in 6 months or so). (same as your's bush only is not available from the agents and the whole arm costs 17k )

I also had similar issue sometime back(Eg8). i had kyb in front and tokico in rear(gas). But it was really uncomfortable on non carpeted roads. my mechanic told me that its a common issue with those shocks and need to hav genuine shocks to get that smoothness. Actually it was a real shock :action-smiley-060: :action-smiley-060: to me due to the price of genuine shocks. so i got recon 4 shocks from us motors for 20k with coil springs and belive me threre is massive difference in ride comfort.( you need to find shocks from a same vehicle ,if you r goin for recon onces). Now almost one year and still doin wel.
