Hi, I’m new to automobile world.

I’m planning the first service of my car (FB15, 2001). I’ve selected A#to Miraj service station. Changing engine oil and filter is due.

Please help me with these questions.

1. Can you reduce the cost by buying engine oil and filter from somewhere else?

2. If so, where should I look?

Thanks in advance.

If the service station allows outside items to be brought in you can, but then check the price difference. If its not much, then why bother?

Adding to what VVTi said, even if the price difference inside and outside is not much, there is also an option of using a different (cheaper) oil.

However, unless you know that the car has been maintained well by the last owner, you should get a more comprehensive service done (check/replace air filters, fuel filters, brake pads, etc + check/replace/top up transmission fluid, brake fluid etc.)
