OP, look if its a new thing, like you said, and you are hell bent on doing it, after your research, why are you wasting your time asking if it's ok to do it.

Just get off the net, go out and enjoy yourself.

I wouldn't encourage that mate. Imagine someone hitting the brake using left foot infront of you :D

OP - just put it this way!

you use the right foot for braking because, when u lift you foot off the accelerator and press the break, it slows down the car properly. getting used to the left foot can cause sudden stops that may lead to accidents. so Avoid left foot breaking.

I wonder what else he tries to use instead of the trusted, safe and proven methods... :)

Rally Car drivers use left foot braking to improve timings and other race critical factors.

Porn Stars use all kinds of other gizmos to get that perfect moment for all of us avid fans.

The OP? What's his excuse?

everyone has/have some kind of a skeleton in their wardrobe... But the question my friend is "How Many??" So VVti, You're expert in motor mechanics isn't it? you probably know some vehicles include flappy padal gear boxes. No matter you use right or left to brake, If you get the result exactly. This guy Kasun001 can brake in left as much as good others no need to wonder about it. Some can do weird things in normal way. So I don't see any wrong in this.. Left or right as long as you brake.

OHH... Cool backup dancer backing up the main roll... way to go Mr. jdnet.

If he is as good as you say he is he wouldn't be here asking advice about why its a bad idea, he would know it from experience !

I think that the most logical thing to do is using the left foot because that way the reaction time to brake decreases than using the right.

You should step on both pedals at the same time with both feet. You'll be to treated interesting and new sights and sounds.

He is worrying about his uncle's scream not his braking.. Still he didn't commit any accidents from that braking. Isn't it? So if he can assure his left foot for braking.. I think its fine with him. (But As long as he doing that, I'm not interested traveling with him).

So if i sticked my figure into an electrical socket and still didnt die of electrocution should i keep doing it ?

I think your uncle has good reason to scream.

What you are doing is very dangerous. In an emergeny situation, your instinct will be to press on the right leg, and with your method of driving, this will have disatsrous conseqneces on you and some poor pedestrian or another vehcile.

Auto cars and many manual cars have a foot rest, for the left foot, for good reason.

Use it, but use your brains also.

You sound like a road fatality waiting to happen.

I have that in mine :)

there are situations u can use the left foot, but its not good practice.

for example: if your climbing on a steap hill and had to halt.. then using the left foot to break to balance the acceleration from roiling down the hill is ok.. but using your left foot always is a bad habit..

you cant do that in a manual car, in a manual tranny car you will have to balance both brake and accelerator with the right foot. If its an automatic you can use the handbrake instead of using the left foot for the brake :)

If you're in high, you can.. But this isn't about the Electricity.. It's about a technique that some people using around the world.

His uncle probably screamed cos he had a few near misses, abrupt stops or watever, i'm guessing. It's not like there is a clear view from the passenger seat to the drivers feet postion.

Just because some people use it around the world doesnt make it the proper technique, you know there is a reason why the brake peddle is in the middle and not on the left side in an auto car !

Even Michael Schumacher can create a accident in a public road, but that doesn't mean he isn't a good driver. and the other side even a 18yrs old kid can drive safer in public road than Michael Schumacher. and that also doesn't mean tat kid is better than track driver. My point is accident is all about time and place. No matter right or left you use to brake its about how quickly you get that decision to certain reactions.

1st High means if you're in some kind of a drug.

and second in person to person habits and things change. some write in left some write in right. I talked about that. If this guy is so sure about his left foot than right. Then I say go for it. May be if he use right first few days he will get screwed without practice in right foot. I personally don't want to use left foot to brake, but that doesn't mean everyone should use right foot. If there's rule in sentence we have to follow it. As far as I know there's no legal issue regarding this.
