Both will typically do about 8-9/kmpl. You will find it funny but lower displacement does not necessarily mean better fuel efficiency, particularly if you run above heavy traffic speeds. The larger engine does not need to be revved as hard so stays within the economical rev range for more of the time delivering better economy at higher speeds.
