Cabin Filter Usage In Ac Re-Circulation Mode

Dear Friends,

I have wondered about this and finally decided to ask from you, since we do have many experts around...When AC in 'fresh air mode', I assume the cabin filter will be used to filter certain harmful things. But when the AC is in 're-circulation' mode, will the cooled air be filtered by it? Please advise. My car is Nissan Wingroad(2002) model and it has a cabin filter.

Not the cooled air but the cabin air is taken through the filter and blown through the evaporator (that's cooled air once it goes through) back to the cabin if that's what you are asking.
