K&N Performance Air intake/filter for Honda Civic 2017 1000cc Turbo

Hi, would like to know if it is at all possible to install a K&N performance air intake to the new Honda civic 1000cc turbo? There will be a marked difference in performance i trust but can it be done to such a new car? Mine has done 4k so far. Would there be any issues to the engine or air flow sensor if this is done? 

I was told that we can change the air filter to a K&N from the original as well. This isnt going to effect much right?
