Process of transferring a car owned by a company

Guys does anyone know what are the documents needed when transferring a car owned by a company? what should be the name address etc. put in the transfer papers? and what sorta of other documents we need or any special things we need to consider? I'm talking about a car that was owned by a huge company for 20 years probably that has many directors also. Anyone have experience in doing this before? Also the car was initially leased under Orix leasing so the absolute ownership is in a leasing company. Your help would be highly appreciated.

These are the documents you should obtain from the company......

 

MTA 6 signed along with embossed seal and director seal (by two directors). Name & address should be filled as it is mentioned on the CR.

No objection letter address to RMV, signed with embossed seal by two directors in the Letterhead

Copy of;

1.  Business Registration

2. Form 40 or Form 13, Form 20 or Form 1

3. Form containing the Company Registration Address.  

4. NIC of the two Directors

Original CR Book

Absolute ownership Deletion letter from the leasing company

First 7 years Luxury/Semi luxury tax receipts. (If applicable)

Revenue License

machang did you undergo this process before? the no objection letter should be signed by JP? Also what is the director who was in charge back when the car was transferred to them is no more the director there?

Yes. My previous office has sold a few company owned vehicles and I was involved in that.

Earlier it was not. But now I don't know because this year RMV has made some changes on policies.

That's not a problem. Because current directors have legal rights to sell company owned vehicles. Form 48,1 or 20 contain the directors names, Addresses, NIC numbers and signatures. That's why you should submit a copy of those documents.

The Camry bro, also went there today, one day service is only offered to cars above KA-XXXX numbers anymore, so my car being a JK number wasn't given one day service. Went there with your normal transfer papers, revenue license etc, no objection letter from company (this has to be with the companies letter head), the car has to have an additional letter regarding the board of directors (whether they've changed and all that) with all the directors (atleast in my case) signing off the sale of the car additionally had a government letter looking thing where it mentions how the company is a registered business and blah blah. That's about it.

quick question

1. Business registration - is it a copy needed?

2. For 48 etc. Does the companies know about these forms?

3. Form containing the company address - whats the form name?

Also the no objection letter should be signed by JP of that area right? what else does JP has to sign out of these?

Sorry typing mistake. It's form 40. It contains company address. Form 13 contains change of registered office address. So you can submit either 40 or 13. Form 1 or 20 contains Directors details.

If its a pvt ltd company, No need of JP sign. 

 

Simply what you have to submit copy documents to prove following things;

*Company registration details

*Company address

*Directors Names and Signatures
