Hi Friends,

1. What's the reason for brake fluid gets dark color?

2. Does it indicate problem in "Master Cylinder"?

3. What should have to be done? Oil flush? Master cylinder related repair?

Hi Uditha

when you have changed it last ? with time oil get darker while circulating through the system,If you don't see any leak from master cylinders or caliber washer it is time to change brake oil, re flush whole system and fill with fresh break oil again, :)

Many Thanks for the reply. No leaks. Not changed recently too. (say 1.5-2 years :( )

One garage person directly said that if it's dark, all washers has to be replaced & all. Is it true?

If it a flush & refill needed, where can it be get done? Is it aid of any machine?(like for auto transmission oil change) or manual process?

Many Thanks!

1.5 to 2 years is way too long IMHO,

Don’t think u need to replace any washers etc as there is no leak , a complete oil change is what you need and make sure no vacuum builds up .

It can be a DYI but bit cumbersome – best take it to a normal garage and get them to drain the oil whilst filling in new oil. Should take 2 cans to do the full process – when I mean cans I mean the small ones say 300 ml I think .

Make sure all 4 outlets are opened and drained form each so that u have all new oil flowing through the system .

Cheers

Hi Uditha

Sorry for the late reply didn't have internet ,

it is not a MUST, but What he says also correct mate, once you replace old oil with fresh once weak rubber washers tend to fail easily,so it is advisable to do it, that will not be a big cost mate as i guess you don't want to go for Genuine parts mate any Japanese brand will do the job, but if you do it that is much better you know for sometimes you may not

have any problem :)

thanks
