Transmission Oil Mixed With Water

Hi Friends,

Faced an issue that automatic transmission fluid was mixed-up with radiator coolant. After this, both coolant & transmission fluid was dirty. [both fluid were like light pink color & cream like ]

The car had been driven with this condition for around 80 Km

The issue was with the bottom part of the Radiator which Transmission oil pipes connect.

Got radiator repaired.

Drained the coolant & used water only for coolant.

Drained the transmission oil as much as possible & refilled. [Filled cheap one. Because it might dirt again]

Now as expected, still transmission fluid looks bit dirty. [Not 100% cleaned]

Friends,

1. Have any of you experienced this situation?

2. Will this damage transmission?

3. When should I flush & refill tranny oil & radiator coolant?

Haven't changed the filter even in my previous transmission oil changes.

I think most people miss it badly. Can you give more info abt this? Is it expensive to change it or should we do it for every tranny oil change?

And, regarding my issue,

1. Is it ok me to drive when the oil in this condition? Because I'm planing to change it after running few weeks so that I wouldn't have to refill it again.

2. I did my normal tranny oil changes via machine. Machine people say it's the best way because u'll get 99% flush. But

garage people say don't do by machine, do it manually.

So what's the best way & why?

If I were you, i'll change it again with cheap oil, run about 2,3 weeks. Change it again with good quality oil. And may be brig next oil change about 5000km forward without waiting till end date.
