  1. autoLanka covered the event... await pics!!
  2. spent the day at the garage... wasantha realised that my rack ends were still good... exchanged them for stabiliser links which i had to replace anyway... got some cash BACK my calliper pins needed brushing up too... one of them was stuck!! anyways... job's complete... the car handles like a bi*ch and i'm a happy puppy... a grand total of about 15k's which i didn't find too harsh at all... thanks for the contact don and hefraz... he does some very good work... fast and reasonable... i'm off to drive aimlessly on the twistiesss
  3. hello hardhat i've never owned a CBR either... or for that matter any bike... i've always loved bikes but my parents would disown me if i take the plunge... with regard to your question... you're better off starting a new thread... and yes you're allowed to ask the question but members cannot advertise on the forum... they may contact you personally or use our preferred option... the classifieds
  4. in brief... a gullarm is an RR... as far as i know all variants of the CBR250RR have the same engine... basic noticeable differences between the R and RR are: an older frame built upto 1989 (RR production began in 1990) single front brake rotor (RR has twin rotors) 5PS more than an RR (japan's gentlemen agreement capped 250cc bikes to 40PS) slightly longer wheelbase slightly lighter smaller tyres (width) with a bigger profile 3 spoke alloys (RR has 6) body panels different exhaust swing arm lower clearence on the RR there's lots more like compression ratios, final drive, chains etc but this should be more than enough for you to differentiate... note: some of the pre-1994 RR's have 45PS too...
  5. that's a deal... don't forget or i'll hunt you down jk
  6. nope... should take about 15-20mins per DVD-R
  7. i just want your top gear and 5th gear episodes... shouldn't take an hour of your time... plsss???
  8. no problem... well when you have two nissans you buy twice as much it's my one stop nissan shop... fuzzo is only a contact for intel goods... and when we mention his name at dealers they frown
  9. my A/L maths teacher's husband owned a classic 5 or 7 series... i'm still trying to trace it but it could be one of these cars... just for curiosity's sake...
  10. you've misunderstood don... where i source my parts i get big discounts cos i'm a regular... there's no point wasantha going cos they'd charge him retail prices i just saved 3k's by buying it myself...it also saves him the trouble of carrying that load to panchi and looking for them...
  11. update... wasantha diagnosed the ailments today... rack ends and tie rods plus the lower arm bushes... i won't have to replace the entire lower arm which is a huge relief... unfortunately he can't start work today cos he's full but told me to leave the car with him on monday and i can pick it up on my way back from work... i've bought the genuine goods... set me back 12k... praying that he doesn't find something else when he takes it apart
  12. can i bribe you to burn those onto 4 DVD-Rs? i'll give you the DVD-Rs...
  13. is it just me or does that black centre console looked quite scratched?
  14. yup... scrub... don't know whose yet
  15. do you still not have a DVD writer?
  16. which rock have you been hiding under? last i heard the trend is 1.5mill...
  17. would you happen to know the 528 owner's name? it wouldn't happen to be a wijetunge?
  18. 400cc bikes aren't noticeably bigger than a 250... not at a glance anyway...
  19. i think it's the 12th too... hence the reason 'other' events have been postponed glad to know you're in good health mivec.turbo... and the car too
  20. isuru grow up... there are a lot of toyota fans here... i'm sure they'd appreciate you not bringing your honda trash into this thread cos a lot of people have been waiting longer for a supra successor than an NSX successor... what you don't realise is that the NSX probably has more rattles and squeaks than any new car... the only arguments you have are 0-60 times and handling... there's a LOT more to a sports car than just that so read up before you flood this place with numeric jargon...
  21. two recommendations... awesome... thanks guys i'll pay this guy a visit tomorrow...
  22. ah you took the initiative... good good...
  23. machan don i honestly wouldn't even care if the guy lived in the slums as long as he knows what he's doing thanks a lot bro i'll pop by his place first thing saturday... wouldn't happen to have a contact number on you?
  24. i've been hearing some metal clunking noises from what i suspect is my left lower arm... i hear it even when i drive slow over a mildly rough road... NO POTHOLES! i don't want to take it to A*W this time cos i'm on a bit of a tight budget and afraid of what they'd throw at me... i can get the genuine parts from Pioneer but i need a competent mechanic to diagnose the problem instead of taking it apart blindly and replacing more than needed... need recommendations urgently cos i need to get this checked this weekend...
  25. i think don's right... those are the codes for the diesel corolla and sunny...
