The new A1 is based on Polo platform. Which is longer and wider. It will have the 1000cc turbo engine variant of the Q2. Expected in March though!

The all new Audi A1 complete redesigned version is expected in early 2018. I saw a current gen Basic 4 door advertised for 5.1mn. You know as the new face comes in old ones will be less desirable n cheaper to buy. Company imported vehicles are fine tuned for Sri Lanka conditions plus agent gives warranty! Q2 is also a good option where you might be able to procure an automatic one around 6.5mn in coming months.

Been and driven the C HR 1.2ltr. Looks funky, handles well, smooth ride. Decent pickup for a small engine, well built. Rear seats are cramped and you feel like you are cramped inside a cage. End of the day its a TOYOTA and will retain market value. Q2 have got no experience but saw 1 on road looks nice but little small in dimension and has got a 1 litre engine. Interior is little old taken from Audi A1. Will have that oomph factor! Coz its an Audi! Both Vehicles are aimed at Youngsters. For me everything other than the rear seats are good in CHR is good for current price. Mind you my friend bought it for 10mn which dint justify its price.

Afaik 1000cc is turbo no mild hybrid! They are launching a new small cuv XBee this december bigger version of hustler which is suppose to have a 1000cc turbo + mild hybrid setup. Hopefully they introduce that powertrain to all the range.

Audi is quoting 7.9 Million for the next week shipment of Q2, they promised on a discount too. They mentioned the price of A4 is also going doen but couldnt give me a price as they have not yet decided.

Its better to wait and play. By december end the prices will settle. There will many new budget options.

Obviously now Nissan will import but unfortunately the new 2018 is 110kw so tax will fall into 25000 per kw category. 2017 is 85kw motor. Audi Q2 1000cc turbo tax is only 1750000 now? 2018 major imports will be 1000cc turbo variants and below 1000cc hybrids! Electrics below 100kw options are less and they need to be Brand new too. Smart forfour is also good option if D*MO brings them down 60kw motor. So tax ia gonna be 750000

FYI The Suzuki Swift 2017 has both technologies. Mild and full hybrid. Whatever is in Sri Lanka is Mild hybrid. The full hybrid was launched recently and the price is also high.
