  1. I think so yes.I also had those problems, that now your are facing. Unfortunately I couldn't find any practical person to get a real advice. These days Japanese engine prices are real high, Before u go for a jap motor please compare price with land rover 200Tdi engine. 200 turbo direct Injection engine is the best practical motor land rover has ever produce. Other land rover secret is the center diff lock LT230 transfer box. If u want to feel what is the land rover, least go for LT77 5 speed gear box with LT230 transfer box with compatible any motor. There r more issues, But if u want to be a proud owner of a land rover, you have to live with those problems. Remember, LAND ROVERS & WIVES are same, so you have to, cause its our passion. Have fun with your Landy........! regards, Upul
  2. Hi, I think u can find all the answers to your problems from here, http://forum.autolanka.com/Index.php?/topic/5140-personal-experince upul
  3. hi, Rs.40000.00 but 3-4 years ago.....
  4. Replacing 2.25cc with 12J means changing pillow to headache. If you want to maintain originality, overhaul the registered engine. If u don't change gear box, go for 12J engine. (bolt on conversion) budget replacement is 4DR5 engine. (Easy conversion) Need more power and toque, go for 200Tdi with LT77s gear box good luck with your Series 3, It's a great vehicle to drive. Regards, upul
  5. It depends on your vehicle mods and condition. For my job engine & gear box coupling nearly 2 weeks. Chassis repairing takes one month. denting & repairing panels, converting doors (Defender type)etc, took nearly 3months. painting job got 3 months. Made complete new wiring harness, for 2 weeks. assembling job takes nearly a month.
  6. Thank u for your comments. Believe me, both 51 & 52 are absolute KANA shots. Taken from the first vehicle, and the person who took these photos, didn't Know even how to use a camera. Our first vehicle driver ordered him to just press the click button what u seen behind. Amazing isn't it....?
  7. Electrics...... I hate that job. so I gave it to a pro........
  8. Check 51 & 52 photos..........
  9. total cost of the job nearly Rs. 600000.00

  12. Hi, Anybody experience this lovely toy.......? How good or bad..........? http://yfrog.com/83sonimlandrovers1ands2g4j
  13. It is an original body. even the doors are made locally. I didn't spent much as u think.........
  14. many landy owners use different alternative Japanese pumps, its not a big issue. only thing is the correct size of it. In your case, you surely know that there are no leaks from the brake lines, my opinion is you have to replace your pump. If your pump inner sleeve wear or damaged it couldn't able to maintain pressure even with the new washer kit. brake paddle going down means leak of oil. if not outside then the inside of pump. Good mechanic can easily identify this.
  15. I'm not landy guru, but I can share my experience with u. I think brake pump is the problem. did u replace the pump repair kit.....?
