I bought my Nissan Altima in 2018 and never had a serious problem with it until last week when driving. It wouldn’t automatically shift, causing it to rev hard as I accelerated. I went to a mechanic to see what was wrong with it. He said that the internal belts in the transmission are slipping/stretching, which blocks the valves and causes the shifting issue. The repair cost was about 5000$. After I heard the price, I started considering getting a new car. I went on jdmbuysell and looked for a new model. I found a Nissan Silvia at a great price, and I am thinking of getting it cause I was always a big fan o old sports cars rather than spending this money on the repair.
