Yes I am,some fool spolied it by confirming the car with a advance on Saturday evening so we turned down all offers on Sunday and on Sunday evening he turned down the offer (we got to keep the advance). Now again the car will be in papers this Sunday. But I doubt it as usualy people have a 2nd thought when a car appears on a paper for the 2nd time. anyway the advices porkster and nex gen gives me wont go for a waste as i will probably get a 2002 or 2003 EXI most probably where ever i see a good deal (new budget-no more X-trails). Hi machang, As long as the right thing and the right price is met I wouldnt mind spending for it. In other words "value for money". And i somehow want to get OEM stuff or nearest (apart from my alloys). Do we have to do all this mods if we get the full kit? Huge Mods in a sense is like some people replaces their normal engine with a turbo engine, some people make 2 way distributor for the exaust and make it double barrel etc etc. Mods which takes too much mechanical and technical effort is out of my reach. I am a guy who wants to do simple mods like replacing a head lamp with the projector lamps etc. I caled up the official K&N filter guys in Sri Lanka and for 7400/= they got the box type air filter which fits into the original compartment. The cone type one comes with the original pipe fitings and that may cost 20k itseems which they do not have in stock. Here you go...Hope it helps. And before i forget, the Local K&N dealer was very neagtive on modifiying and setting up the cone type air filter saying its always a flop as the heat gets overlaped

Ashan who got a black RS had lots of gutts and fixed a huge K&N filter box through Staffords (i guess). So what you suggest is a aluminium covred cone type K&N filter.

Definetly i dont need a 60GB HDD. There is another thing out of technical argument. HP doesnt look that good, its silver and looks like a toy where as the Acer got a cool slim design with lot of convinence like al the ports (mic,speakers,bluetooth) are in the front. Oh, the HP notebook does not have bluetooth/wireless conectivity at all

Yeah machang, the quatation said it was MS DOS but they said they will load up Windows XP for me. And since the guys who offred me is a well reputed PC/printer company i am sure they will use a licened copy. I am talking about the HP not the Acer. The guys who offred the Acer are just a commercialized PC retail chain who got many branches in Sri Lanka though but still it doesnt have the good will like the compnay who offred me the HP. Hi Fuzzo, Machang, the Acer which i had mentioned was not a Pentium as it was just 80,000 bucks. You had adviced to use assembeled laptops but i thought the assembeled scenario is best recomended for desktop Pcs as notebooks are very delicate and it some how got to be branded.

Acer cant be Pentium machang. The least pentium they have is 145k. Is the Centrino processor good or is it Celeron in another name becuase there is a Centrino Processor Acer at 112k

Guys, I opened up this thread again for your opinon on lap tops... My Budget is below 100,000. And I got two which caught my intrest. One was a HP which is sold for 80,000 with a 1.5 celeron procesor , 256 ram, 40GB HDD. And there is a Acer for the same price with a 1.7 procesor and all other specs are same as the HP. (Sorry cant type the model names/numbers). My question is, will HP be better than Acer?
