It was a head on collision with the small concrete structure like a roundabout you get when you enter n'eliya from the radella road!! which is almost in the middle of a road where hardly two buses can by pass each other!!clearly not a track suitable to hold a car race with a mass start!!The small roundabout had sand bags around it filled with "dirt" clearly not sand..anyhow i dont think it would have helped in any case cos this was a head on collision with a dead stop!!the impact is all there to see..if what the reports say is true i hope ther will be some action taken against the organises who clearly had acted iiligaly without concedering the safty of participants and spectectors!!!

Deepest sympathies to his family and friends...though i did not see the actual crash i saw the crashed car upclosely...all the necessary safety precautions seemed to be there to my limited knowledge the roll cage and the safety harness seemed to be intact but then again this was a head on collision to the concrete structure..as velocity said it's time for the organisers to rethink about having "ROAD" RACES considering the danger to both participants and spectators!!!

well there was a major crash at the super car event.. somebody asked for pics so i happened to have some.. i posted and they were removed this morning dunno why???no explanation given so far!! oh well atleast the rest is still there!!

Why have the moderators removed some of the pics uploaded yesteray of a car crash at gaja ba yesterday..as i can recall there were many pics of races on these forums included those with car crashes...which is a part and parcel of motor racing.. is there a ulteriour motive behind this??? why the double standard??? does the modarators have some kind of a connection with the car involved.. pls elaborate as i have not controvened any rules...
