Leather is a natural product - so it will eventually age just like your skin :-) . Leatherette or artificial leather is more durable and lasts longer. Most of the euro cars in SL have leatherette and not natural leather - but most people don't know the difference (I'm not talking about the about the 'leather' on Singapore cars - that's not even close to leatherette.)

FYI: Anyone traveling to the US for a short term need not get a International Drivers License. US authorities honor the Sri Lankan Drivers license. You can drive upt o 3 months in most states on an foreign license that is accepted.

In Sri Lankan terms the BMW will be more expensive to buy and will hold more value when it's time to sell. If we leave that out of the equation I would buy the BMW because its a RWD - the A4 is FWD unless it's a Quattro

There used to be detailing place just before the bridge in Rajagiriya coming from Diyawannawa side - across from Dominos/ KFC/ Adidas. They used to do leather restoration, by cleaning and then painting over with a dye. It is considerably cheaper than reupholstering. PS: I've been outta the country for a while now, so my information may be outdated....

It's not as simple as 1-2-3, if it was everyone would be doing it. Get hold of someone inside of Customs, then get all the government circulars you need. Deal with a company that is used to exporting cars to SL, they will be able to guide you for sure.
