  1. Also, I believe the SiR is more economical (with regard to fuel consumption) than the other 3 vehicles.
  2. I believe that is a Porsche Cayman. Could someone clarify whether it is a Cayman S?

    Honda Fit

If I am not mistaken, there are 2 versions of this vehicle... The fit hatchback and the sedan type fit aria.. There was an interesting BMI episode where Tsuchiya tested the fit's tuning potential... Spoon brought out a pretty decently modded fit in that video.. Apparantly the chassis and shell of the car has been engineered quite well, thus giving a very rigid structure to the car.. (All according to BMI) Try and get your hands on that video if your interested in purchasing one...
  4. I guess it all comes down to your personal preference and usage. A SUV will never be able to give you the handling of a sedan (with the possible exception of the Forester STi). Also an SUV will on average, as mentioned in previous posts, consume more fuel than a sedan. You cannot expect performance figures of a sedan from the average SUV (again with some exceptions). I am not 100% sure about this, but I believe that maintenance figures are higher on SUVs when compared with sedans. So if your the kinda person who enjoys a ride with good handling characteristics and decent performance, a sedan would be the choice vehicle. On the flip side, you cannot expect a sedan to go places where a SUV is able to go (especially noting the poor ground clearance of sedans). And some people prefer the high driving position of SUVs as opposed to the 'butt-on tarmac' position of sedans. So if your the kinda person who likes to lord over others on the road (phrase credit to JC) and prefers the odd off-road experience, the SUV would be your choice! Like I said, it all comes down to your personal preference and usage.
  5. Received an email regarding the "water mixed petrol" issue, apparently authored by the victimized party... Its a long but thought provoking read...
  6. Hi Hasantha, With regard to your request, I might be able to help you out. But due to forum rules, I cannot post any details on the thread. [### removed ###] ---------------------------------------------------- NOTE : We Appreciate if you ask respective owners to advertise their vehicles in Autolanka Classified section. 7. Could you please try not to display your idiocy? It would be much appreciated. PS: Sorry for being OT, just couldn't contain my annoyance.

    Noise From Dashboard

I had a similar problem and it turned out that a clip which fastened the front bumper had come loose. Replacement of this clip solved the problem for me. For what its worth check your bumper mounting points as well. Hope you solve your problem soon.
  9. Most of us go through a period of experimentation during which, for the first time we experience the thrill of pulling the hand brake while cornering. My most embarrassing moment comes during this very period of intense education. While traveling with a good friend of mine, I took a wrong turn and had to perform a U turn. So, with the intention of impressing my friend and showing off my newly acquired skills a lil bit, I decided to do a 180 turn with the aid of, yup that's right, the hand brake. So, I stepped on the gas, got some momentum going, steered, braked, got the car into the turn, pulled on the hand brake, so that the rear end would swing out..... but that bloody rear end never went anywhere... Went head long into a light post and got my front indicator light smashed to smithereens... I agree not a huge damage to the car, but man the damage to my ego and self pride....... Damn!
  10. Yeah the 6th Gen D15B found in the EK3 ViRS (with 130bhp) is supposed to be better in terms of performance when compared to the D17A (also with 130bhp if I am not mistaken) found in the ES3 RS. Plus the ride and handling is also supposed to be better in the old model. Spot on! Thus the huge following for Honda.
  11. Cant say I agree with the usage of "mint" in your strategic marketing campaign, but still given the legend that car is, it sure is a consideration... Yeah I agree with you, it is indeed very difficult to find manual ViRS' on sale. I think it has something to do with the great combination of good fuel economy and 'decent' performance that car provides... Thanks for the valuable information nevertheless.
  12. Probably didn't realize that the above mentioned SiR is not exactly your standard SiR...
  13. Thanks for the clarification. I stand corrected.
  14. I was refering to the EK3 ViRS with the old head and tail lamps as the '96 model. I think the engine is the same D15B found in the '99 model. Please correct me if I am wrong. So in conclusion, how much would you recon is a decent price for a accident free '99 ViRS (manual transmission) with very basic mods (exhaust and intake)?
  15. Thanks for the quick response. I know of an individual who managed to sell his multimatic, HX series ViRS (which drove like s**t btw) for Rs. 2.3 million!! Frankly the existance of such a huge price difference for no apparant reason is a bit crazy! Is it only the "urgency" factor or are there issues of modifications etc involved in the equation? Any comments on this would be appreciated. However I have not come across a '99 ViRS for less than 1.8mil. Perhaps you are refering to the '96 model?
