  1. This is what really happened...... Ravi's desperation to be the fastest SOHC at the drags went a bit over board, he tried all means and mods as well as a new 1600 engine to make the car the fastest. Failing in all ettempts, as the tuner couldnt get the car going faster than what it was, if not slower, only made things more sad for the car. The actual gap between the cars, if they ran right now, will be 5 cars, this is with all the mods stated by Ravi and the people concerned. Ofcourse after all this effort and expenditure I cant imagine anyone who wouldnt be disappointed and desperate enough to try anythin to get the car going. This is when the head of N motor sports arrived in the country shortly after his escapades in the UK. From day one of his arrival a rather strange but understandable relationship between N motors and Ravi became evident. Even though Ravi denied all allegations and reminded us of past records between the two, he wasnt convincing enough if you asked me. So it was planned, the car was tuned to its utmost potential, ofcourse this time with the expertice of N motors as well. And soon after, Ravi's challenge was put forward once again. This was a private run down GP, again Ravi losing by 4 cars. Ofcourse this called for some serious action as they made a come back in just two days, claiming to have installed the all exclusive prodrive ECU, locked diffs, race flywheel, a new hotter CAM etc. But they werent fooling anyone, what really happened was that N motors had lent Ravi a 75Bhp ZEX wet NOS kit for saturday night. Hence the confidence for Ravi to come challenging Shamil back again in just two days! And hence the confidence to brag about a Prodrive ECU and the above stated mods by the new tuner: Nigel! But the run happened after Mr. Zaki confirmed that the car was running his ECU at the time, there was no sign of a Prodrive ECU anywhere near. It was just a cold lie. Ofcourse the refusal to pop the hood was in confirmation of the ZEX NOS kit. (but for those who are concerned you can PM me for pics of the ZEX kit in Ravi's car, plus Nigels CTR stripped off everything while still on the hoist at Nadeeras, no NOS kit in it) quicksilver I think you should see this! So to the people concerned I would say if you do the math, this is what you will arrive at..... Ravis car :- 130Bhp+10Bhp for other mods = 140Bhp + 75Bhp ZEX wet shot of NOS = 215Bhp! Shamils car:- faster than Ravis so = 220Bhp!! incase Shamil ran NOS :- 220Bhp + 75Bhp = 295Bhp which means it would have thrashed Ravis car by atleast 6 cars! So to all you fools who even have the idiocy to say it was a close run, think twice or stay being fooled!
  2. A group of individuals who own a couple of Honda's calling themselves the Racersedge. Ofcourse these cars dont drag or race as I have never seen any of them do so in the recent past (correct me if Im wrong), but they occassionally show up at the drags now and then. I personally know a couple of them myself. Tuned i Chips on the other hand is a specialized Honda performance tuning workshop (not a club), headed by Mr. Zakie as we all know. Tuned i Chips is prominent in both the race arena as well as in the drag scene. So most of these Honda's we are talking about are either tuned by, or running a race ECU from Tuned i Chips, hence the sticker on the side of these cars. Hope that answers your question Hola....
  3. Any guesses guys?? Your right Dragster something really hot! But not hot enough I guess. Anyway Fuzzo u seem to know quite a bit even after not being there:-) it was quicksilver who won
  4. Yet another action packed long night it was at GP. The presence of three fast SOHC's ready to burn, Glen, Shamil and Ravi, along with the usually frequent bistanders, made up last night's private drags. The all awaited run between Ravi and Shamil happened, Ravi's mods mentioned over the past weeks were put to the test. First run was between Glen and Shamil, Glen finished a car behind. The second run was between Ravi and Shamil, to our amazement the gap was 4-5 cars!
  5. Yes RaptorRS I agree with u, Ravi's car has to have more power cos he has a 1600cc VTEC Engine, but the sad thing is he still cant take down a 1.5L car. I think "people know" what they saw that night. I dont think Razali or any other 1.5l car has anything to lose running Ravi. So RaptorRS tell us what kind of mods Ravi is doing to his engine, u seem to be knowing only a few ppl as u say, so cant be that hard to remember right?? I already know that he has faced the head, so is he doing a port and polish or final drive this time? I think Ravi has more to worry this week than running Razali, cos Glenn will definitely want a re-run after he sorts his engine problem, after all you thought Ravi's car was fast just cos he took down Glen rite? So better keep your eyes open this saturday night!! So as the battle for the Fastest SOHC continues, hopefully Ravi wont be battling it out for last place, goodluck guys for Satuday!
  6. So the battle for the Fastest SOHC continues..... I think KLM is just right, we really dont know exactly which is the Fastest SOHC simply cos most of the cars in question havent run each other as yet. But as far as we know, Shamil's car is probably the Fastest SOHC currenly at the drags, closely followed by Razali and then Ravi. I think everyone who comes to watch the drags will know this. Yes there are a few Race-specced SOHC's around, namely Zaki's EF hatch, Dilan's EG8 and not forgetting Ishrak's Banshee! Ofcourse these cars weigh a lot less and are modded to the max, this is understandable cos their sole purpose is to RACE! But I still believe that the SOHC's at the drags will give a better fight than what we all expect! All in all they are all SOHC's and they are all FAST, never under-estimate them! Cheers guys, keep up the burning!
  7. Yes..last night the races were at GP and then at Ekala due to the cops busting in. As the much awaited run between Ravi and Razali happened in Ekala(for the first time), after about 4 runs the official result between the run was that Razali's car won by 1 cars length. Both of them are running similar TunediChips ECU maps created by Zaki, actually speaking its the map made for Razali's car that is currently being run in Ravi's car. And as to Glen's car, c'mon Raptor we all know that it has some problem with the engine, so till its sorted I dont think we can judge Ravi's car as being fast just by running Glen. And as u have said something abt being sad that Shamil didnt run him that night, yes he had his standard exhaust on, and besides he and Ravi already ran twice and Ravi lost by two cars, so it'll actually be sad for Ravi to lose night after night right?? but I guess Ravi has to go past Razali first if he wants to consider his car as being fast. I really dont think there is much modifications that can be done to Ravi's car anymore, unless he modifies the gearbox. Anyway, it was a good run last night. Goodluck to everyone for next Saturday.
  8. I hear both cars ran a few more times but ended up with the same result. So the 1.6L engine didnt really work for Ravi I suppose. We may see a few more runs this week according to my sources, but not sure what exactly which cars are running
  9. Well Gihan I think u should double check with Ravi, his car is 1.6l SOHC VTEC now, he put in a new engine with TunediChips ECU. Hey Thusha the other car is quicksilver
  10. Darkness falls and the battle for the Fastest SOHC continues, yet another private drag, any idea about last nights run at GP guys?
  11. Interestingly, nowadays its most evident that the SOHC's put up a good show at the drags. Any idea what some of the fastest cars among them are? What mods have been done to them? Any significant runs? Where exactly do they stand? Ofcourse there is a varied school of thought on each others opinions on this topic, but nevertheless I feel that these SOHC boys are given less credit than what they really deserve...
