thanks for the det miniace.. i find these types of tech quite useful on excursions... i guess the newer models would def come out with some proper maps for SL.. but for your consideration.. these smartphone based GPS devices too are pretty handy.. 6630 n related phones give an accuracy or +/- 2 M of the exact location.. pretty good id say.. what do you mean by waypoint bro? landmarks or somethin? Id say.. that part bout intel experimenting on various chips basically like a "survival of the fittest" is news to me.. so in the sense, they have no clear directions as to where their heading but making take that current tech to the limits eh? interesting.. pretty true bout the low end processors being more overclockable.. certain chips which i ve handle are basically the superior chips with certain communication channels within disabled.. just for the low-mid-high end variations alone.. i ve seen plenty o cards which allows certain hacks to allow more pipelines to work, those very pipelines which were rendered useless via firmware... as far as GPU overclocking goes.. my opinion is that it is pointless considering the few frames gain.. that is.. if you are blessed with an already powerful card.. my interest nevertheless lies on the research being done over at AMD based on combining both the CPU and GPU.. it would def be quite complex and com channels etc. would necessitate a thorough redesigning.. n from what i feel.. a new chipset to cope up with the tech.. used to be an overclocking fanatic.. gamin interest faded away slightly.. so did my interest in keepin up wit overclocking I think ya would have definitely heard bout the Gigabyet I-RAM.... good stuff for boosting up overall speed of the machine.. inclusive of games! "proper" broadband? ya mean cable based connection? with ADSL, dload is always higher than uload.. so i suppose these new broadband would be synchronous with both uload/dload been the same.. internal sources say SLT got enough broadband to give users a min of 5 mbps ... but stil its slow during the day sigh... SL maps and roads clearly marked and mentioned? from where d you purchase it? for smartphone users, ya have the option of making ya phone GPS compliant but purchasing the bluetooth GPS module which could den pair with the fone.. Tomtom and related GPS applications supports it and it works... good if ya want a GPS on the go.. Zz

yup... dslreports and some other sites works in conjunction with most file sharing/download managers to assist in getting the best settings based on ya connection.. though manual tweakin would reveal the most benefits these tools have come in handy... for dial up users i remember SLT offering a compression prog which enables dialup users to receive pages in a compressed format which would automatically decompress on the fly thus having an effect of higher speeds.. for those interested only.. i think ya ve gotta pay a certain amount though.. From what i read matchan.. there are GPS software for naval based operations.. but as for the streets there was a software for the S60 mobiles which had support for the MAJOR sri lankan roads.. i cant remember the software at the moment.. hardware support is of no problem as it is the software which has no maps which causes the prob of havin gps without functionality.. though with time i am sure there outta be maps coming out from tomtom n route66 If its just the location ya are interested in being pointed on the map then there are hardware which ya could purchase off ebay.. if they would allow custom software installation, ya could instal those progs which have the SL maps... but as i said earlier.. the maps are stil in development.. Would it be best for a car to have both the spoiler and the diffuser or just a single one of them alone? have both would def increase the car "stickiness" to the road and affect its top speed negatively me think which a high quality aero designed diffuser/spoiler would definitely give the car good grips at high-speeds and quite unlikely to affect the top speed... lately.. have been seen quite a number of cars with both the diffuser and the spoiler being attached.. spoiler gives a look factor though.. which would give better performance oerall? Wel.. never did overclock me GPU as i ve had lower powered ones which kinda make overclocking pointless.. as the games r already slow n i opt for stock performance rather than overclocking it .... the easiest and safest way of overclocking be it gpu/cpu is getting a suitable water cooler/air cooler and getting a tweaking software (plenty out there) to mod the voltage, bus speeds and multipliers... thank god for no jumpers! lol.. the more cooler the GPU/CPU runs, the longer it would last.. with proper care and practice ya could reach some awesome speeds.. a dude reached 4.3 ghz outta a 2.8 ghz chip a long while back but using a fancy cooling scheme based on liq. nitrogen.. a very risky procedure though... but therez nothin like stock performance for durability and reliability that is.. voltage increments are way riskier dude.. as more voltage --> more heat.. and normally the increments of voltage as based on +0.005 steps.. but some tools have a higher margine making it more riskier.. playin with the bus speeds would be kinda k .. upto a limit.. but voltage is a whole new bal game.. Google Accelerator works... speeds up the webpages by plenty merely by caching the sites on ya HD and dloading from their servers.. but it would not affect the download speed.. to achieve maximum "stock" performance i suggest ya download this tiny super piece of software called TCP optimizer from www.speedguide.net and tweak ya TCP/IP settings.. just select the speed from the speed tab and select optimal settings and voila.. the MTU, max no of concurrent connections etc. are optimized for best performance.. there is no program which could double etc. ya ADSL speed.. as all speeds are set at the DSLAM and adsl crawls during the day.. for downloads it is the night time... @ Rjosh - take it isuru z bro? rather than reinstalling.. system restore..
