  1. Call the AA for details (You need copies of your NID as well as your current D/L). No need to go to the RMV. AA Colombo: 2421528/9
  2. Rs. 1.8M to 2.3m for English numbered depending on condition. Superb cars in everyway (Comfort, Economy, Ease of driving, reliability etc.) but not usually easy to sell used. Most of our clients find the shape a bit oldish.
  3. I always had the urge to do mods but then the car was quite decent as it was so didn't wanna mess the good thing I had (2 Ltr Camino auto) Gave quite a bit of thought to a SR20DET FWD engine mod. I was told its a pretty straight forward swap. Anyone heard of that being done?
  4. I used one for 5-6 years from unregd. Great drive, nice reliable car. Bit on the thirsty side. No problems over the years. A/C packing up was the only problem.
  5. ITS POSSIBLE. I know the the Euro version the Mitsubishi Charisma (U.K) used to share the same platform with the old S40. So collaboration possible.
  6. Nice jeeps. But the ride is not too comfy due to hard suspension on the B/N models and the fuel consumption is absurd. The GDI versions are comfier but you endup with all the GDI related issues. I have a Montero 2001 B/N 3.5V6. Not too thrilled with it
  7. Toyota Mark II GX100 Great car. Super value for money. There was one at Ramanayake Auto in Ratmalana for 18.75 in so so condition. Good car should be around 2 mil as difficult to sell with that aged shape. We run 2 cars clocking around 95k each. We have repaired suspension. The only regular problem is engine sensors start giving away once the car is about 6 years old (99/00). Parts are available but can be expensive as there are 6 sensors and all of them start going within a year or so. Overall unmatched comfort and reliablity for that price.
  8. Does anyone have any info on these Nano Technology Fuel Saver Devices being promoted these days?

Hi! Delayed reply due to joining this forum so my apologies. Hope you have found your ideal 4x4. The older Monteros are here on Tsunami Permits. Good model but the GDI engines are messy to maintain. The Brandnew V6 is much more resilient but is high on fuel (4-4.5km/ltr City) and the suspension is quite hard for my liking. The older Prado TZ models seem the better buy. I have had one for 2-3 years (301-XXXX) but is still decent to drive. Just moved on to the new TZ with G spec. The 2700cc versions are pretty sluggish to get around in.
