Found a nice guy who does starter motor repairs for a reasonable charge. He runs a mechanic shop near Nawala Koswatta Junction, infront of Three Sinha roller door showroom (Sudarshana - 0714 988100). Mine, the aluminium body had to be welded as there was a slight crack and he replaced the bushes and armature which did cost 10,500/= including labor + travel. In overall he has done a great job with a good care and not trying any 'cheap' fixes. Drove for like a month now and the motor works smooth as a charm! By the way CarMart quoted 60K for a brand new motor .

My Peugeot 407 got the same kind of an issue with starting and the garage guy has cleaned the starter motor. But he said the needle razor is worn and the aluminium body is cracked. So he suggest to replace the motor ? Anyone can suggest a good place to get the starter motor repaired?

Yaek!!! i too hav pumped N for my 406 and felt like removed the suspension. Got back to normal air yesterday . front tire pressure was down by 1 but rear got same even after a month.

Yes. The Throve is in baththaramulla koswaththa (near thalangama police station) and the French Lion AM is in Pelawatta (Near the stadium). Both the places are running by the persons who left Carmart.

Dude... i recently got a D9 2.0L as my first car. I too went through all these hassles from the ppl outside about parts, the 2nd hand market and all. but finely i made up my mind to go for it and now am in love with it :-) .. but do consider about the fuel consumption and the maintenance of the car before you making a decision. My one does 7km/l in City and couldn't see much different in outer city but still the handling, the performance and the look all goes beyond that for me. So it will all depend upon your financial situation and what you going to expect from the car, and also how will you going to maintain the car. obviously this will need much attention that a jap one to keep at the top condition and you will see a big different in performance if you made a little crap at the repair. Am too doing the repair at this place in pelawatta and the guys are really professional and reasonable so you dont have to worry about the repairs, if you not going to use this much at outer city (coz not every mechanic can touch this car).
