  1. I'm still up for meeting up this weekend. Drive up to Bear Mountain isn't far at all from your part of NJ.
  2. Wrong time of year?! With snow tires and AWD who says it's the wrong time of year
  3. Haven't been there in a while but I will if I go. What plans for this weekend? Maybe we can get something going. Been up to Bear Mountain? It'll be cold but a nice twisty drive up and a great view. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6679967744326628135
  4. I'm in CT but I work in NY, and I'm in NJ often when I go for races. Let me know if you guys decide to meet up somewhere in the area. I've also got a friend who just became a honda boy He lives south of Edison. BTW Mitsuwa is a common place for car meets. Good Japanese food too. http://#######/2xromq
  5. Thank you.
  6. I love FDs. Was at a track day a few weeks ago organized by a Mazda club. It was FD heaven http://www.shutterfly.com/progal/slideshow...30ba&idx=69 BTW did you know Mazda made a rotary pickup? http://www.shutterfly.com/progal/slideshow...30ba&idx=67 But you have balls buying a RX7 without even seeing it. I want one badly, but I'll stick with my 4dr econobox until then

    Lancer Evo X

When Mitsu ran in GroupA they had to create 2500 street legal versions of the car which is what led to the creation of the Evo. Running in WRC class as opposed to GroupA allows the cars to be very different to the actual street cars, and therefore Mitsubishi doesn't have to comply with the homologation rules and build a similar car for the road. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Group_A The Evo VI was the last Evo built before Mitsu moved to the WRC class. This is why purist claim the Evo VI to be the best of the bunch... and why I an jealous of Evilmak
  8. If you're not too far from Warminster, PA definitely have a shot at the autox events there. Philly SCCA hosts them. I was on my way back from WV and decided to do an event there yesterday. It's at an abandoned air strip, so the asphalt has mucho levels of grip. Only problem is that due to the large number of people they only give you 4 runs - wasn't enough for me to get my fast runs clean. I've heard that the DC region also hosts some good events, but they have about 300 people turn up at times. They also have "Pro Solo" which has two mirrored autox courses with a drag strip like christmas tree where you go head-to-head with other drivers!
  9. A friend of mine let me co-drive his car at a local rallycross. I was going to run my car but my snow tires weren't mounted and running my street tires would've been useless. Here are some pics and video from his blog: http://holunfie.blogspot.com/2007/10/dirt-action.html Some more pics from the same event: http://www.plaftaphoto.com/gallery/album418
  10. Yes. Eating into your lead, coming alongside, and then blowing by. You'll have a full 3D view of the car .Then you'll think you got beaten by a Mazda 3
  11. Oh! Look at the new RS. I'm jealous now. More info and detailed gallery: http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/01/officia...er-evolution-x/
  12. Who'd want such an ugly car... and just wait, it'll be bog slow Long live the 4G63 and CT9A!!!
  13. and Salsa MR says you haven't driven your Dewale Evo during the same time frame

    Evolution 1-3

What's up with that? Brand new car with issues? Sounds like someone fiddled with it a bit too much.
  15. You think I'm joking?! Ask him. I'm totally serious. BTW Salsa MR is completely MIA these days. Either the bugger has found a new bird or his new job is kicking his ass.
  16. No, I think he's getting too old for Evos. He's thinking of a Toyota Landcruiser
  17. I expected them to be contenders in the event by now - considering that the Yellow Legacy has been raced by one of them in the past. When is the then Black Legacy owner's son coming to the supercar event? Remeber when the Black Legacy and Yellow Legacy (originally White) made their debut at the SLARDAR 1000? apita full godayata magic!
  18. Nice shots machang. I think more people should be encouraged to complete just to get out of Colombo and see the country side.
  19. Hoping to attend the ALMS race at Limerock in July. Too bad Peugeot couldn't break the Audi streak, but a well deserved third place for Pescarolo.
  20. Evo? STi? Evo? STi? Evo? STi? Friend of mine took this picture at last weekend's autocross.
  21. I found some old school pics of the car. Did I mention that I love this car?
  22. Actually machang I think it was the owner who may have spilled something. That night was also the first night I experienced Subaru understeer... near the lake in Nuwaraeliya Don't worry sharkster, no harm was done. I think Nihal owned it first, then DD.
  23. Congrats machang. Don't know if you want to hear this, but I popped my AWD Turbo cherry driving that car. The Black Beauty has a special place in my heart. Does she still drive well?
