I kind of had a similar issue where the rpm goes high randomly such as when im in a traffic block or wherever its idling. Cleaning the throttle body solved the issue. Apparently when there is a carbon build up, it happens.

Guys im planning on going for a small car after experiencing the 'fuel efficiency' of my conversion . lol no but i had this on my mind for sometime. I need something to run up and down between col and kandy without feeling the pinch so to speak. Also some ground clearance is mandatory due to some of the hilly roads. Guess it will experience some rough use, so i need a tough little work horse. I thought of an old japanese car like a starlet. but then i heard its not so great on fuel compared to our friendly indians. So then i thought of the alto. Does anyone have any experience with this car ?

mine was a 19-sedan and it did pretty well on fuel. 9-10 km/l. It was a 1.5. The 6Km/l u heard must be a for a wrx

Hey ppl Iv a question... I was told that its mandatory to pump 95 octane for a WRX. Apparently, 90 octane will lead to engine trouble. Guys who have been there done that, whats your take ?

If you are all set for the conversion, go for it. But make sure you have the COMPLETE kit. The impreza isnt a mind boggling experience, but once converted, its a different story.

iv a xplod and it does not give that extra punch. When i looked into why it isnt so, with sony being a good brand and all... apparently sony audio is more bent towards the 'natural' sound. Its the same with all their audio products. But i wanted the extra punch lol hows fusion ?

the same thing happened to me while overtaking. In my case it was a broken tbelt. Taught me a lesson to replace it on time.

I had the same issue where after a little bit of running, the engine would stall in neutral or low RPM. Today I got together wit a friend of mine who is an expert cleaned around the throttle door. There was some carbon residue. Went for a drive and got back, and everything seems fine. Maybe u shud jus try this before visiting a shop.

The enthusiasts could always invest in some land in the suburbs and build a drag strip. Only way to keep the game safe. Seriously someone should do it. Its now a commodity.

as per what I heard, this guy was dragging wit a WRX and hit a transformer. Apparently there was grey matter splattered where he fell. Iv no idea abt the physics of hitting something that high up tho...The cops had swamed the place so the cars had got out... Anyways thats what I heard. Any witnesses ?

Iv heard that atmospheric BOVs are not so healthy to the turbo and the best option is the stock wastegate. What do u guys think ?

Iv a 1.5 Impreza and it does 9+ Kmp/l Also consider why ur going for a subaru. If ur in it for the thrill, keep away from the 1.5 Impreza unless u have planned for a full WRX or STi conversion. Iv made the mistake of dumping a turbo to the existing engine long ago and still regretting it . Now Im spending again for the full conversion. Learn from my mistake At that point, fuel consumption should not (and probably will not) be ur priority cos such a supercar is not ur everyday workhorse.
