Thanks for the reply machan but its an auto. I recently change the ATF oil and when draining the oil yesterday, there were some metal particles in it.

Hi Guys, My car was suddenly refused move forward while i was driving. Engine was started ok but when shifted to any position including the reverse gear, car wont move. Also the hold light is blinking too. So i had to tow it to a garage called 'Wheel base' at Meegoda because this was happened around 8pm and mazna motors was closed at that time. Iam expecting the worse and hope to have a place to get a gearbox if needed. If you guys knows a place or a contact where i can buy a good one please let me know. I will try to contact mazna motors tomorrow too. Thanks in advance. Samira

Thanks for the responses guys. Really appreciate that. What is the best way to change ATF? Manual method or via a pump.? Btw YOM of my car is 1996. Bit old but i amazed with her performance.

Hi Guys, After waiting for months, finally i was able to get a Mazda Familia BHALP model car with in my budget. However there are some minor problems in the car. Could you mazda pros help me on these things? -There are few tiny corrosion spots in the body. -Current owner didnt change the ATF and other oils in some time. -need to have a full checkup of the car. I heard there is a good place for mazda's called mazna motors. Can i do above things from there? Or do you have any better place to do these stuff for cheap? Thanks, Samira

After using the search feature and going through hundreds of post's i came to the following conclusions about EG8's. Hope you guys correct me if im wrong. - Price of a single carb one will be between 7 to 8. (Because of building a house i cant go more than 800k. So i think i have to settle with a single carb one.) - Fuel consumption is 10+kmpl in the city limits. - All the mechanical parts are available at agents and at t*c motors. - Check for suspension and chassis repairs before buying - Finally dont buy a heavily modified car. Hi Guys........... Im planning to buy my first car these days and though to seek some expert advice on it. So here are my requirements. Max cash in hand - 600k Im using it for daily use so it should be economical(around 40km's per day) No need of fancy stuff but need to be a decent ride Im not a pro in vehicles so maintenance and parts should be easy to find. So what you guys think about this? Do i have a chance.? BTW one of my friend suggested a 18- Ford Laser for around 500k. Is it worthy and will it meet my requirements.?
