  1. I pumped 95 from the Cepetco shed in Battaramulla last saturday after getting the fuel pump replaced on my 406, Still running without any issues.
  2. hmm.. I guess I'll keep on searching for an A4 or a passat, if all fails the skoda will still be there.
  3. Will do, judging by the fact not a single skoda owner showed up, i guess the car is pretty rare. Senok did say they brought down only 50 or so skoda's from 2000 to 2008, that lot includes the superb, octavia and some other car.
  4. LoLz.. not exactly clear about the punch line.. So am I to understand that no one in this forum currently owns a skoda superb ?
  5. Skoda.. anyone ?
  6. Pumped 95 octane fuel from the Battaramulla Cepetco shed last Saturday, they had a can filled with fuel on display,it looked ok and smelled ok and so far running okey..
  7. I might be a potential buyer for that car if it checks out to be good. I heard that there are only a hand full of Skoda Superb's in LK.. i welcome the uniqueness, but does anyone have an idea of the spare parts availability ?
  8. Was is a black one near nittambu area ?
  9. Yep i saw that, by the time I contacted the seller the car was sold.
  10. Hi all, I sold my Peugeot 406 a couple on months ago and was on the look out for either a VW passat, Audi A4. Last Saturday I came across a Skoda Superb and it looked... Superb I don't know much about this car exept skoda is owned by VW and it's engine and most stuff is shared with the passat B5. If any one has owned or driven this car please share your experiences.
  11. Not sure if this was mentioned before, but I'll say again just to make sure. When u pump this petrol which is not petrol, some vehicles may die straight away. But some do not. Like mine it will work fine all day no problems what so ever. I did about 40km's after refueling, the problem occurred when I parked for the night and tried to start er up the next morning. I got nothing, not even a cough. Checked the fuel lines and guess what no fuel is coming through, the pump has got clogged up. My guess is.. ahh what the hell, I'm not guessing anything, all I can say is make sure U pump in the good stuff.
  12. What about IOC ? IOC is having a different fuel supply right ?
  13. Any survivors ?
  14. If it's a slim then i can safely say it will work here. My cuz got one down from US and although it says 120v 2A in the back it works without any problem.
  15. Before you do anything, Download the file (80 mb ++) and read all the instructions before hand. It’ll help you to visualize the process. Download file contains • GarminMobileXTforSymbianS603rdEdition_50040.exe • GarminMobileXTFreeBasemap_4xxxx.exe • GarminMobileXTSupportFiles_4xxxx.exe • gmapsupp.img (Malaysian Map, with DUKE highway) • garmin_kgen.exe • 5800_manual.pdf • GarminMobile20_GarminMobileXTOwnersManual.pdf Installing GarminXT on Nokia 5800. 1. Once you’ve downloaded, unzip the files to someplace accessible preferably on your desktop. Connect your phone via USB and select ‘Mass storage mode’. 2. From you PC, double click “GarminMobileXTforSymbianS603rdEdition_50040.exe” to install and wait. 3. Double click “GarminMobileXTFreeBasemap_4xxxx.exe” to install. Wait.. 4. Double click “GarminMobileXTSupportFiles_4xxxx.exe” to install. 5. Remove USB connection between PC and phone. When prompted ‘Launch GarminXT’ do not click Yes, just Cancel. 6. From your phone, go to Menu > Settings > Application Manager > Installation files. There should be GarminXT.sis file. Install it. Cracking GarminXT on Nokia 5800. 1. Run GarminXT from your phone at Menu > Application > Garmin. It will prompt you with some settings. Choose your preferable. 2. Select “Use other device” when it prompts you to buy or trial. You will get a screen, “Where To?” and “View map” 3. In GarminXT, go to Tools > Settings > About. Jot down “Card ID”, you will need it. Exit GarminXT 4. On your PC, run “garmin_kgen.exe” and enter the “Card ID” from previous steps. 5. Generate it and you will get a string of codes. Copy the codes to Notepad and save it as “sw.unl”. *Be sure you don’t save it as sw.unl.txt”* 6. Connect your phone to PC and select “Mass storage mode”. 7. Copy “sw.unl” to Garmin folder. Usually located at E:/Garmin. INSTALLING MAPS 1. Download Sri lanka Map From http://rapidshare.com/files/61579171/SriLanka.img 2/ ONLY three names are available so as to be recognized by Garmin: gmapprom.img gmapsupp.img or gmapsup2.img. (Gmapbmap.img is the base map of whole world so don't use this name except if you don't want a base map). so use one of these names for the maps. So only three different named maps can be used at the same time. Rename Supplied Sri Lanka Map to gmapprom.img 3) Then copy gmapprom.img file to E:\Garmin folder which is located inside your mobile (Make note: E: is your Mobiles MMC, it might be different in your phone) Setting up GarminXT on Nokia 5800 1. You don’t need your PC anymore. Shut down and conserve energy. 2. Run GarminXT on your phone. 3. Go to Tools > Settings > System > Remote GPS. Change to “Use Attached GPS” by disabling the “Bluetooth GPS”. 4. Go to Tools > Manage My Data > Map Sets > MapSource. Make sure all maps are enabled.
