Hi, considering all the facts my choices are if you are looking for a smaller car, toyota starlet ep 91 is the best if you are looking for a larger car even it is little difficult to find for 1.3 mil (but definitely between 1.3 and 1.4mil) mazda 323 1.6cc manual would do the wonder. outstation it will do 13-14km/l (city 9-10)

I think in colombo traffic you can't expect much more than this for this car may be max 8-9 with all cleaning and other things. I used mazda 323 1.6 manual and it did 8-9 in colombo and 12-13 outstation. right now I am using a mazda 3 (2008) 1.5 manual and it does 9-10 in colombo and 13 outstation. all with A/C.

It all depends on what really you expect from the machine and your personnel taste. But if it is me in that budget I will think of a Toyota Tercel 300 or 301 series. because, cheap maintainance, cheap and availability of the spare parts, very good in fuel consumption (15/12 if you find a good one), reasonably a decent, comfortable car, easy to find a good well maintained car, I too like eg8's but it is very difficult to find a GOOD one, most of the eg8's available for sale are crap with never ending repairs. what ever it is wish you find a good one.
