  1. Hey guys do you'll know any place where i could find these following parts for a mazda astina and the costs??? 1. Full dashborad 2. Air Flow Meter 3. Bonnet Thanks...
  2. Edit your post, and not mention about where he's working, because the poor guy will fall into trouble... And CVT boxes have always been the problem from the start... cheers
  3. No i didn't... Im an vehicle junky. And i have worked on these vehicles overseas...

  4. Hey mate just to add in... This is not the highest grade. Highest grade comes with 18" "Spoked rims" ( with pin stripes depending on the colour u want on the spokes), body kit, spoiler, dvd players on driver head rests, heated front seats, electric seats, winker mirrors with signal lamps, courtesy lights underneath the side mirrors. The badge is not stock. This comes in the Rexton power up(XVT version) Most costomers have it fitted just for prestige.lol. Kyrons only come with the round badge.
  5. Mate these things even happen to Kyron's which are even 3 MONTHS OLD!!! Problems even come up few days after the vehicle has been delivered. There's more but i have mentioned the important stuff. I have worked on these vehicles and mastered them too. Feel free to ask any questions and i will be glad to answer them... Cheers...
  6. Alright mate personal experience regarding Ssang Yong, Here's a list of the Pro's n Con's 1. Its a comfortable vehicle 2. Powerful because a VGT turbo powers it up real good. 3. Handling is real crap because of the improper vehile weight balance 4. If your looking at a 6 speed, well its powerful "BUT" it has a factory defective gear box. Puerly bad desin of shims on input shaft. Agents fix it FOC if its under warranty and only charge for the oil. 5. Check light indicates on it like a real bitch. Reasons, 6. Throttle and EGR systems are opperated by vaccum modulators. These pack off once in about 3-4 months. Mind you each one will cost you around 8,000 bucks. 4WD solonoids, if blocked still check light comes on. 7. These modulators last depending on the way you drive the vehicle. If you don't kick down or you drive like an old man, well it packs off. If you do the opposite wel it wil still pack off. So puerly bad desin there as well. 8. The 5 speed is good no promblems with the gearbox. 9. Front 4WD hubs. Vaccum opperated, gets stuck at times, each one will cost over 50K. If the vehicle is under warranty your lucky. 10. This has all the comfort functions, which is really good. 11. Air- conditioning system is fantastic. 12. Services should be done on time and its not costly even tho some customers bitch about and compare other brands. 13. Fan clutch, oh this mother burns off yearly. Vehicle will over race, fuel comsumption high and low pulling power will cost you about 25K. 14. Glow plugs, darn it, these things snap on the cylinder head when removal + replacement. 15. Injectors, famous for compression leaks through it seals. 16. Idler pulleys, chain tensioners, belt tensioners really sucks, if a lil water gets on to these things you are looking good repair/amount. The Rexton is a fantastic jeep!!! I just love it!!! Now that i reccomend... I think i better stop now, ... And i think i might get in a little bit of trouble. But if there's anything let me know cz i know those vehicles inside out. cheers..
  7. K guys this might sound a lil shocking but i did see a STI version (not sure) of this in Hilton Jaic in the month of January 2010! It probably would have been a standard impressa cz riding it was some middle aged lady with a driver...lol... Same model as in the pic's above... But anyways congrats nishan on the Subaru... Hope to see some Ken Block stuff with that soon...
  8. shoot having trouble uploading some pic's... later guys...
  9. Hey mate i was just going thru all the comments about the fords. And when i came to your's i got freaked out when i saw my # ... Btw im from Wattala... The capri is almost completed . And kinda hunting around for a set of rims... We have sent it out to get the Air Conditioning done... Will try to upload some pic's later on... cheers...
  10. Hey AE 100 check this site out... This team in Malaysia only races Levins and AE100's... http://www.ultraracing.com.my/ Even when i first looked at the AE100, i thought to myself it would look really wacked out when modified. But after seeing these guys cars on the track, i was blown away...
  11. Yea macho... But all depends on how you plan on restoring it... You could do it in a budget or the costly way. But for around 6lks you could do a good job on the car. So far we have spent almost 200k and the car is around 75% completed... The restoration costs all depends on the condition of the car... But trust me after its all completed, you will feel like a pimp daddy driving it around ... The respect given on the road, the thumbs up from other drivers just makes you feel like your the slayer of all cars... cheerz mate and i hope u make a good decision on the car
  12. Hey mate... Sorry cz im just checking in on some time... I've been a lil bz these days restoring a Mk2 1600 Capri. Its my BIL's car... Well for the questions that u have asked and what i would suggest. 1. There are capri's for sale in SL but it takes some time to look for them. In fact i do kw one for sale in Jayala area, but its in crap condition. 2. The GT Capri that you have shown us is a damm good one, reason why. Well because of its body styling. If we had seen it earlier, we would have definitly got it .... 3. From the pic the body looks pretty ok but who know's what you will find once you go check it out fully ... And its lacking a font nickle bumper... And also if im not mistaken, the Mk1's came with four round lights in the front ... 4. Spare parts could be a real bitch because its pretty expensive. But we get down most of the parts from the UK... http://www.burtonpower.com/ or there is a dude in panchikawatte who only deals with classic ford spares. Jayawardena motors i guess... 5. The tinkering cost us around 80k because there was a sun roof and we took it off. Want to get the car to its original condition. 6. Buying a car like that needs alot of attention, if its been restored, it should be done really well. 7. My BIL spent 390k for his capri, which was a lil too much. So far we have almost reached to 200k on the restoration. Here's my number 0775353620. Call me if there's anything that you want to know... I'll hook u up with some of my contacts...
  13. Because a friend told me that he saw a couple of race cars been transported on flat bed trucks today... Guys any info, because as i would like to see some local racig events ... As i've not seen any local race scenes for a long time...
  14. All right mate... Wonder if a roll cage, kill switch, extinguisher etc... requirement ? Competition licence not required right?

  16. Alright mates thats cool news... But its sad cz i've still not been on any of the local tracks... Been on the Sepang F1 track with was an awesome experience...
  17. Its been awhile since they have had any races over there... Any reason why the track isn't been used now?
  18. -Honda SiR- B16B (Type R) 160BHP - 185 BHP -Toyota 4AGE & 4AG ZE Supercharged (Levin) 120 BHP-200BHP Depends how you set it up ... -Nissan ( SR16 VE) -Mitsubishi- 4G16 i guess... -Mazda (B5 & B6) Quite powerful cz i had a B5 Astina...
  19. I agree with terrebytetango... The relay has to be definitely stuck... There is a way of checking a relay and its really simple:)... *Disconnect the relay from its connector... *Get two service wires and connect it to terminals 85 and 86... Then take these wires and give positive voltage supply to either one of these wires, and ground the other... You will hear a clicking sound from the contacts... Then use a multimeter and check for continuity between terminals 30 and 87... If there is continuity the relay is good... If not, then you gotta change it... And thanks ripper for your comment . Im from Alwis town... I have been checking out all of you'll s discussions and topics which i found quite interesting on autolanka for the past couple of years. And then i finally decided on registering... ...
  20. Hi guys... I would just like to advice u on your headlight relay prob ... Just check the connections... On a relay you will find 4-5 pins... There will be a '30' which is direct voltage from the battery. '85' is coming from the switch+ fuse+ voltage... '86' is being grounded. '87' goes straight to the component which is your headlight etc... Check those and see if there are any irregularities... It is definitely a short connection in the relay area... cheers...
