  1. Another attempt.
  2. I think they meant the car thats actually in Sri Lanka...
  3. Ok, well i used to do a lot of these in the past, and got sickened by recent attempts on fb So decided to start again. This is the latest:
  4. Damn reposts....
  5. repost
  6. Hey fady, do u mind if I post a few pics of mine up here?
  7. Again its very strange. It was discussed before on a different thread that they might be here on a "car net": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATA_Carnet As for the convoy business, the story goes that the president went in a normal car sans convoy, to what it was like, and was actually inconvenienced by another politician and his cronies. He then told them not to use convoys to barge through traffic or something. Maybe someone else could enlighten us on this?
  8. Just wondered why there was a need for the differentiation on the number plate like this?
  9. Have mercy on us mere mortals....
  10. You mean the "WPC 2009/2010" ones? I assumed they were politico plates, at they are most commonly seem in convoys...
  11. Do they remove the doors and boot (trunk) lids to save weight?
  12. I notice from the number plates that a most of the performance cars are imported from england. But how are they allowed to go around on foreign number plates?
  13. I may be wrong, but don't Kyrons share the same engines and transmission as the previous generation Mercedes M-Class? If thats the case then reliability shouldn't be too much of a problem
  14. Hey, no one thinks that the cars shown by Fady are driven by every Pakistani, Its just that he's showing us the gems that we normally would never have thought existed in Pakistan. But its quite reasonable to assume that the people who can afford the cars shown do drive some of them on a daily basis. Lets not try and disgrace different countries for what the state of their streets are or the 'normal' cars that are driven. This is a car forum, so lets appreciate the truly special gems out there. Would love to see some ICE
  15. Excellent pictures. Hats off What happened with the overturned car though? Did it fall off the edge or just roll?
  16. I'm off to pakistan then.... We need personalized number plates here....
  17. You've really got a load of nice pics here bro. I suggest you start a blog or something, I'm sure they'll be many more people interested in these pics.
  18. Awaiting the article, but this teaser pic looks good. Can't wait to read about it http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150160935128143&set=a.10150160930873143.291581.668803142&type=1&ref=nf
  19. The crossroad was supposed to the HR-Vs successor. I don't think spare parts should be a problem, as with all discontinued models, they'll still make parts, and they'll always be the breakers yard spares. Only as it wasn't officially imported by Stafford you may not be able to find parts from the agents,
  20. It's a shame that Micro is let down by its after sales. This does genuinely looks like a tempting car, and on Supra_Natural's note that it rides like a 206, i'd say thats very probable... We always accuse the chinese of copying other's designs, and yes, its unethical, but imititation is the best form of flattery. These guys will litereally tear down a european or japanese car, and then build their own version according to what they've learnt. Lets not forget this is exactly what the japanese used to do before they became fully competent in car design. The future is chinese whether we like it or not....
  21. I know Thats why I said "a bit OT". Just though that the disco re-badge was interesting.
  22. I would say the 3rd row A/C problem is a pretty common one in this type of vehicle, as these seats are generally not used as much as the 1st and 2nd rows, and are more of a convenience factor. When it comes to space requirements, can't the thrid row of seats be folded or removed to increase boot space? A bit OT, but i googled the crosroad and came up with this thing. Seems that Honda re badged a version of the LR Discovery for the first gen.
  23. Safety for spectators at least was a problem. Real shame some had to pay the ultimate price for other's negligence... On a more positive note, after all your pics I'm shocked at how naive I was when it came to Pakistan and cars. Reminds me a bit of when the Top Gear team visited Romania.... (I love the Red Evo MR *drools*)
  24. Very nice pics you got there, thanks for sharing with us Real shame about that crash though. Was it mechanical failure or human error?
  25. Just wondering how this would apply to cars that come with HID's factory fitted? Do the cops know which have them fitted after-market (its obvious for some, but not so much for others.) I know in England you're not allowed to have after-market HIDs as by law they have to have a suitable washer/wiper system and a leveling system. Not sure if you can legally have after-market HIDs if both systems are installed, but the trouble to do this correctly and getting it working might not be worth it compared to fitting higher powered bulbs.
