Hi Guys Checked out a flat red Audi with the sports package, 2002, 1.8T auto+triptronic with 70,000kms on the ODO, last Saturday at a car sale. Registration plates are GZ - XXXX (WP SP), one owner, brand new purchased and maintained throughout at the agents. The car was in a decent condition with a decent black leather interior. There were minor scratches on the body and the buttons in the center console display had faded slightly. Didn't test drive but everything looks straight. The car sales guy was asking 4.3Mn for it. To my knowledge thats too much with the little attention it needs. The car sale owner was willing to do touch up the minor scratches and also attend to the center console. I still feel its a bit too high. Any thoughts? Cheers R

My gut says that it has something to do with the electricals or the wiper lever.

Hmmm.... haven't heard of any.. but if so damn !!!! I only know of a E60 530i which has been modified like a M5.

The red compact is a E46. There is 2.5ltr vanos unit under the hood. Quite a drive !!!

The 318ti is in pristine condition. Its a black compact. The green 318is is the one in Kelaniya awaiting restoration.

The IS models have a much lesser displacement than their M variants. They do have power above the normal "i" models but are far behind the "m" variants. We dont have any M5's in SL. We only have one 318is and 318ti (318is engine).

Hi Shenny Start with the fuses. Fuel gauge and heater indicator may be a fault in the meter board unit. Cheers R

Hi My E36 325 exhaust is giving away slowly and I need to find a replacement. I also need the air filter housing box (without the MAF). Does anyone know where I can source one? I have tried the two experts (the one in Kelaniya and Borella)and no luck so far. I tried the agents and the quote was quite high. Any help and advice is much appreciate. Thanks in advance. R

There is also a silver ZM coupe in SL. Done only 6000+ kms. In very good condition with the red sports interior.

I totally agree with Supra_Natural ! These cars a lot durable and can take on alot if they are serviced and maintained properly and the technology in them are far ahead of the Japanese makes. They also age very slowly in comparison. Driving pleasure— you need to step on a six-pot to feel the power and driving pleasure !

318is—The best for fuel economy+power! There are two in SL. One ruined bottle green with a lovely alcantra and leather package. Needs a lot of attention, but a great one if someone has the means. The other is a black 318ti and is in mint.

Finding a good decent and well maintained BMW car is like finding a needle in a hay stack. There are ones which not maintained properly which go for low prices and vice versa. Still finding a decent and paying extra will go a long way as long as it had been serviced and maintained to factory spec. I had a 92 318i which sold for approximately that price last December. Parts-wise, never really encountered a problem.

Not sure how much Pres*ige would charge for a diesel. I did the cleanup on my 325i two weeks ago and it was ~9k. Should be somewhere above that but less than 20k fingers crossed.

Not sure. There was a silver E90 320i K*-XXXX for sale at Prestige. Not sure about the price. But was in good condition.

Saw a black e90 320i from Japan with 14k on the clock for sale. Price was ~9Mn.

The red is a LHD and the blue is a RHD blue 300-XXXX.

I have seen three E36 coupes and two convertibles. Not sure if I have missed any. Coupes— all three are black—318i, 325i and 323i. The 325i was recently rebuilt from what it was and looks smashing! Convertibles—One blue and the other a Techno Violet if not mistaken—Both very well maintained Cheers
