  1. thanks for your insight guys!
  2. yes..Sorry for bringing it up again. But the new 'management' of SLI means things may have changed for the worse. Lots of ppl I've spoken to say the same thing as Ripper (i.e"dont know how it will be in now").
  3. Pulling up an old topic....:-) I need to make a choice between Aviva, Allianz and SLI for my car (full insurance). All of these are in the 35K to 40K range. I wish I could go for V*P but it's about 10K more (just like J'shakthi). So that's out. Could you please advise me???
  4. Was at Sen0k last afternoon when they brought the car (or whats left of it) there on the insurance truck. The windscreen was intact and so was most of the left side. Everything else was just kaput!
  5. Hi Guys! The front brakes on my '99 Impreza have been making a loud screeching noise on (soft) braking. I think it's about time to have them replaced. Any idea how much a set costs these days (at the agents and outside)? Thanks in advance!
  6. My first car was a 1500cc EFI Tercel (YOM 95) manual. Did 9.5 - 10 In the city. Approx 15 outstation.

    Alloy Wheel Nuts

It does to me! I had 185/65/14 and went to 195/55/15. I miss the softer ride and I'm worried I might be damaging my car.

    Alloy Wheel Nuts

Hope I' not completely deviating from the topic.....I need to switch to a 14" set of wheels from my current 15" s (low profile for SL is a few years away!!). What kind of cost are we talking about if I do an exchange? (my tires are 1 yr old and the rims would get an 8/10 score :-) )
  9. I was thinking of using this link to convince my wife that we don't need to sell my Subaru and buy an Alto instead. But then you go and say something like "most females are clumsy behind the wheel hence the safety factor is important."!!!
  10. When it comes to repairs...make sure you find someone who knows Subarus! I busted about 50K cos of a guy who thought he knew what he was doing! Learnt my lesson and been going to the agents ever since. But I share you pain :-). Certainly wish that parts and service cost are a little cheaper.
  11. Cant say. It was covered!! :-) Although it did appear to be a mid-sized SUV.
  12. I was driving down Duplication road last evening near Dickmans road and came across an amusing sight! While waiting for the lights to turn green, there was loud horn tooting and lights flashing coming from a white defender. Thought it was a V*P...but I was in for a surprise. The white defender was escorting a truck carrying an SUV under a plastic cover! This was followed by another two SUV's with around 5 guys in each of them. All these vehicles were traveling at a rate of knots!! And I thought I had seen it all!! :-)
  13. Yup. same here. Internet at office was bad too.

    Is This Tyre Good?

Thanks so much Tyre gurus!! :-) Michellins were going for 13500 at the agent. Yokos and bridgestones (only Jap ones are there for 195/55/15) also beyond my budget. So....I'll probably settle for Good Year.

    Is This Tyre Good?

My Budget would be around 10500 Per tyre. I wanted to go in for Good year eagle F1. But the places I checked were out of stock for 195/55/15.
