Dear All, I'm considering buying a Freelander 2. I have read the past posts on this forum but I don't think it really answers questions I have. I have the following questions 1) The one I'm considering buying is a 3.2L petrol. Fuel economy is not a concern for me. Are there any other known issues on this model? 2) What are service costs like, I have been getting wild estimates that range from 30K to 100K. Anyone who owned it 3) What is the general market opinion about this vehicle? Suitability in Sri Lanka, re-sale value, etc. Finally, if anyone here has owned or owns a Free lander 2, I'd love to hear your take on the car. Thank you very much DJ,

Thanks guys, great info. I think I will add the 307 and the Punto into the shortlist. A couple of follow up questions, What's the second-hand market for these two? and what would be the latest Punto that would fit my budget? I don't want to get something that is trash in a couple of years in the second hand market.

Hi Guys, Looking for a vehicle under 2.2 million, that won't give me trouble (2001 and newer preferred). I'm also partial to hatchbacks. Should have decent fuel economy (10 per ltr +) I was sort of looking at options like Suzuki Swift (the older model) and the Chevrolet Cruz. Don't like the Nissan March. What will the community recommend? (I know this topic exist in the forums, but can't seem to find something that's more current and relevant to my needs) Thank you.

Hi Guys, Looking to get a car from about the 900,000 to 1.1 range. Looking for a good fuel efficient car, any advice? Been only looking seriously at Toyota Starlet EP82 and Hyundai Accents. I've heard the starlet does about 12-14 Kms per L where as the Accent does about 10? is that right? What would you guys recommend for that range, looking for a nice daily use car Thanks a mill, Dj.
