  1. Thank you Cooray! how'd you know? are you a Mod?

  2. Mu welcome to AL!

  3. Yeah, a guy down my lane had the square light version, i.e the revised 1st Gen. 'Twas a Red One with the Black lines etc. Another guy up the lane (lol) worked for the Vaarimarga and had a green one, which had a Tan interior. Cant remember if it had headrests or not. The 2nd Gen comes with the 4JG2 which is the 3.1 Turbo Intercooled, where as the 4JG1 is the 3.0L Diesel sans intercooler.
  4. 1997 Mitsubishi 3000GT. mmmmmmmmm
  5. Are you sure the temp was not up when you drove it to the mechanics place? Look into that. And also from my experience, just because there is a coolant leak, there is not way the headgasket would blow. I remember I was working on a mitsu 4G63 (Evo Engine) and to check the compression dropped too much oil. And that blew the headgasket. So, from what I've read did you drop any coolant or a foreign object in the intake? Something might have caused too much pressure on the head. Replacing a headgasket is easy buddy, take the spark plugs off, and take the head off. Now, I've no idea about costs in SL but you might want to check if its really under compression. Start it up, and pull the oil dipstick out, if you see some smoke or fumes coming out of the dipstick then its definitely under compression. Another thing to do is put a drop. VERY IMPORTANT 1 drop of engine oil on the piston and see if it improves the idle. http://www.aa1car.com/library/compression.htm Let me know what happens.
  6. Oh yeah the Lancer Box Model was this: Wasn't th 92 to 96 Pajero called the "Manthree Model" and just plain "Intercooler"?
  7. The 1st Gen Isuzu Troopers were I think 88 to 92 were called the "Thei (Tea) Wathu (Estate) model" because it was popular among Tea Planters. 2.8L 4JB1 I believe.
