Hey guys I have a Proton Gen 2 1.6L and , previous owner has put a 65Amps battery and I now its the time for a new battery, can anyone let me know whats the proper amhs I should for a 1600cc petrol car ? 45Amps is enough, 65Amps battery is too big and it doesnt fit properly to the battery rack in the car thanks

Hey people just need some information regarding Proton Gen 2 2007 model, I read that all the manual has issue with high RPM gear changing. mine has the same too, when driving in first and changing it to seconf RPM rise high, anyone who is driving a Gen 2 please let me know if this is normal ? thanks

Hey guys I noticed that when driving (after heating ) in traffic etc.. my clutch pedal become bit stiff and pick up power reduce, cold engine no problems car just runs fine, only when its heated up, clutch biting point is quite high, and I think these EG8's has hydrollic clutch which can't adjustable , do i need a clutch replacement or this is some other problem ?

yes its a single carb, It stays more than a second , i think I will have to check the AC idle valve

Hey guys , i recently noticed that when im driving with A/C on in my EG8, after sometimes (when the car heated up) idle up for few seconds and drop down again while driving , normally its on 800RPM with A/C and when while driving it goes to 1000RPM for few seconds and drop. want to know whether its normal or do i need to give any attention ? thanks

planing to go to a A/C repair place and show , need to connect all the lose and disconnet wires and check the fuse and what not, driving around without A/c in this heat is not funny at all... sigh !!!

now the A/C doesnt work, I heard a electric shortage may be some thing blew , normally when I switch on the a/c car idle become little bit low and there is a difference of pick up, now when I switch on the a/c nothing happen only the fan is working and it won't get cold at all, gaarah,

Guess I can go to a A/C repair place and tell them issue ? probably fixing up the disconnected valves and all, that dude told me that the original condenser which comes with the EG8 is not gonna work for the Sri Lanka , also how did you fix your one ?

gave a good tune up and cleaning to the carb from Upul in malabe , and gave a good service to the A/C, but when the A/C is on sometime suddenly the idle up to 2000rpm and stays for a minute or so and back to normal. also i can hear a noise of electric shortage inside the bonnet when the A/C on and changing the gears. the place i serviced the A/C said there are few disconnected valves , may be fixing that would solve the problem ? sigh

I told the mech to clean it and fix it as it is so i can take it to someone else who can see it and fix it , can you guys suggest me a place ?

mhh exactly dont know mechanic told me that , some parts are missing and one openning is closed , so the car power is very low, it become worst when A/C is switched on, hard to drive up hill with the A/c on. will it help with a repair kit ??

thanks mate , tried hit add last sunday no luck , saw couple of ceres not in very good condition comparing to the price they are asking for.. i mean body and interior condition would not be tip top condition as for 15 odd years old cars , engine should be top condition
