The first two days it worked for vehicles with registration numbers 1 sri upwards only. Now you get a message system error. Probably a software crash. Hope they will put it right soon.

I got the bonnet cable for my Mitsubishi C12 for Rs.1800 from Dehiwela (Opposite the William Grinding Mills on Galle Road). For fixing the cable they wanted an extra Rs. 450.

You can also try E-bay for the tail light. Sometime back I saw these being available in US. A good number of these cars were sold in the US as Chrysler and Plymouth Colt, Lancer, etc. Those cars were fitted with a 1600 cc engine.

Sending pics of my tail light. The amber piece on the RHS taillight was fabricated.

My taillight only the amber coloured piece broke and it cost me Rs. 650, including the cost of labour for the man who got it done at Panchikawatte. If you go personally you may be able to get it cheaper. I have seen a complete tail light of a Honda Civic being made by one of these chaps. My camera battery is down. Once it is charged I will upload a pic.

I got my Tube Light Lancer RHS tail light made by one of the pavement chaps @ Panchikawatte. He cut the appropriate coloured plastic to size, heated it and bent it to shape. The job was fairly OK.

You can get your VW bumper plated at IDB Electroplating centre @ Nawanuge Road, Peliyagoda. They have a state of the art electroplating unit. Further being a Government Organization charges are also reasonable

I used to own a Renault in the ninetees. Most parts were then available from Colombo Motors or Supreme Auto House (2344080, 2430219)in Panchikawatte. I am not sure whether these establishments are still functioning.
