Just thought to share some info about Geely Panda.. My & my friend was looking for buy a new car around three months ago. Our budget was around 13 lack, so, we were interested in Panda as well. We went to Rajagiriya Panda showroom, we were gone crazy with styling, interior, exterior looks of the panda. Especially, Black and Silver colors. and, we went to their, another day for a test drive, and to get clear idea about vehicle. We was contacting one sale person their, and he seems good, although, all of them are much busy..somehow.. So we ask for a test drive. We have to drive at narrow road, which beside Panda Showroom. Me and my friend, and salesperson was in the car. there was a very little bumper on the road. when we go over it, beilieve me, car just hit it. and..salesperson was like ..nothing happened. so, i decided, this car is not for me, as i usually ride off colombo town too much. as well as we experienced that, back door was made from totally glass. So, its very questionable for durability. ..... So.. we ended up with buying, TOYOTA AE100..

Hello Friends, first, I'm not sure, is this the correct place to post this question. If not so, please let me know, admins... Recently, i bought AE100 Se Limited, 1992 car. I should say, i'm not very much expert in maintaining, servicing motor cars, since this is my first car. So, as i rode last several weeks, my car, I found that, petrol consumption is bit high. I found this from, one of my friend bought same model car, with me, and it does good on fuel. ( we didnt measure exact way how its measure, ) ..but we just audit from ruff figures. We think, his car does outstation around 14kmpl.. but i think mine does may be 11 or 12. ..So that is one fact. and, my car's speedometer and rpm meter is not working. but fuel & temperature is working. So need to fix this as well. and, my question is, what kind of service should i do? - full service? Engine tune-up? oil change? filter change? - and what would be the good place(affordable as well)..(i'm not sure, here i'm breaking forum rules.. ) after all..its a very nice car. I love it.. Machan, I would like to say something here, beside I"m new to forum, as well as auto industry. But having brought my first vehicle in before two weeks ago, i would like to add some comment. I went for TOYOTA Corolla AE100 Se limited - 1992 , Price was 12 30,000/= I have seen 1991 AE100 went for 1100000/= these days. I'm bit big guy . So specially Maruti, Alto i dont like them much, because of interior space. If you are so, i do not recomend those cars. if you can extend you budget in around 2 lack, just for for AE100. You will have economical, and a car with good resale value too....
