Finally, I went with Hankook Dynapro HP2 in 235/65/17 size. DOT in xx23. Thanks everyone for your valuable advice.

MARSHAL Korean tyre is available in 235/65R17 size. It's an alternative. Current tyre size is 245/65R17 Do you think it's OK to go with 235/65R17
-
Do you think Nankang is OK? It's manufactured in 2023 but they didn't confirm if it's Taiwan or Chinees. Ask for 54K for each tyre. Do you have any recommend place to check for available stocks?

Hi all, I'm planning to go with the same tyre size as it currently has, 245/65R17 But I could only find this size in 2 brads. Fedaral and Nankang. Only 2 Fedaral tyres are available in stocks. DOT XX22. Nankang DOT XX23 I was trying to find a better brand but this size is not available. What should be the best, * Go with 2 available Fedaral tyres and 2 Nankang tyres * Go with all 4 Nankang tyres

I need all your help with something. Sorento originally has the following tyre size: 235/60R18 That's what was mentioned on registration (book). But now it has 245/65R17 tyres. The previous owner had changed the alloy wheels to 17 rim size and used 245/65R17 tyre size. When I check on tiresize.com I can see that it's 0.4 inches taller. Is that an issue? I know it affects the speedo matter slightly. Can this cause bigger issues? If I go for 235/65R17 size, difference becomes less but it becomes 0.1 inches shorter. I'm going to change the tyres soon. Should I go with the same tyre size as it has now, 245/65R17 or should I change it to something else? Your valuable advice is highly appreciated.

I also thought the same. Company mechanics suggested showing few issues, I just thought it's better to replace it while it was there than get into trouble while on a long trip. They didn't say it's an immediate job but recommended to get it replaced soon. So I got it done at the same time.

I took your advice and bought a Kia Sorento a few days after this post. My son loved the panoramic sunroof and wife wanted a SUV ð (women). Had a test drive and I fell in love with it ð Was reluctant to update here as I went against all other options I was considering and you guys spent time advising me, but finally made up my mind to announce it. It had only 58K on the meter, company maintained. I went to the company and got the mileage verified. Went to CarChecks and got a score of 96%. Love the torque it gives. I was worried about handling and turning back around narrow lanes as it's longer than the Swift I was driving, but remarkably I find handling easier than the Swift. Got it serviced at Kia Lanka, replaced the brake pads, bushes and the radiator as well. Need to replace tires soon, checking my options. Thank you all for all your advice, learned a lot during that time.

In Panadura about 2-3km away from the sea for about 3 years now. Bought it around Atthidiya.

Audi Q2 SUNROOF 2020 REG 2018 - 14,490,000 Mileage:50,000 km Above fits that but DCT might be an issue as @Dee Jay pointed out. Is Q2 known to have DCT issues or any common issues?

Thanks for this intel, this is just what I wanted to know from all you well-experienced, knowledgeable & helpful gentlemen ð Thanks a lot. I don't think I can get this kind of advice even from a paid service. Thank you all for this great service ð That's the thing. I don't have any particular requirements. I/we like all types of cars. I like to keep this section open so I'm not limited to a few options, but again as you said widening up options makes the decision process harder ðĪ Premium of cause. Then again I'm looking at my options to buy with cash. I'll have to go for a lease if I want to buy a decent low-mileage premium car. I'm trying to avoid that. I'm in the software development business and running a startup, so my income is not permanent. Actually, it's the brother-in-law & his parent's car ð I'm paying the lease and using it these days allowing them to use it whenever they need. He doesn't use it often. But he's not selling it. It's a Swift 1.3 with 180k+ km on. Not really in good shape. I had to spend 114k few months back to fix an oil leak & to replace radiator tubes etc. Not sure if the charge was fair. Just sharing photos the mechanic sent.

Actually, I started the hunt by checking out Civic hatchback but the low ground clearance was a major drawback for me. Then I found the sunroof to be too narrow. And now I see a lot of low-mileage civics on the market, I can't help it but think that the owners might be fed up with something to give up so quickly ðĪ Insight rare sight = rare spare parts ð Will that be an issue? DCT ðĩâðŦ will it cause issues similar to Vezel? I just want a decent vehicle that might run trouble-free for a few years, hence looking for brand new or low mileage options. Not looking for any vehicle category in particular but prefer a SUV with high ground clearance. "unrealistic expectations" ðĪ am I? "likely you are to pass by good vehicles" - Do you mean like the Mazda 3? This is another brand-new option I came across. Honda City RS 2020 - 14.5M Brand new - 0 milage 1000CC TURBO ENGINE FULLY LOADED FULL LEATHER POWER STEERING POWER SHUTTERS 16" ALLOY WHEELS DUAL MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH LED HEADLIGHTS CRUISE CONTROL

My plan is to buy a vehicle with a low mileage like 50K km or less under 14.5M. Not many options come up when I look for low mileage (hopefully genuine mileage ð) The Following also came to my consideration. Audi Q2 SUNROOF 2020 REG 2018 - Rs 14,490,000 AUDI Q2 Mileage:50,000 km, 1,000 cc MANUFACTURED 2018 REGISTRATION 2020 FIRST OWNER SUNROOF GENUINE AUDI RS ALLOY WHEELS DRIVE SELECTIVE BUILT IN RADIO/DVD/USB/AUX/BLUETOOTH/GPS REVERSE CAMERA WITH GUIDE LINES 2 ORIGINAL REMOTE KEYS 7 SPED S TRONIC TRANSMISSION ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL AUDI DRIVE SELECT FRONT & REAR PARKING SENSORS AUTO SENSING LED HEAD LIGHTS AUTO FRONT & REAR WIPERS WINKER MIRRORS WITH AUTO RETRACT DUAL MULTI-FUNCTION STEERING WHEEL ANTI LOCKING BREAKING SENSOR THROUGH OUT SERVICE DONE BY COMPANY

Thanks for all the great advice. Really appreciate it. Couldn't visit it today, planning to check it out tomorrow.

I talked to a known mechanic about the Mazda 3. He showed me a photo of a Mazda 3 with 66k km that he is working on. It needs a gear box replacement but they can't find one. Also need rack replacement. I will not get those issues as its nearly 0 milage but I will have issues when trying to sell it off. ðĪ

Yet there are ppl like me who are willing to buy it at that price ðĪŠ But I'm still considering all my options
-
They said it was imported in 2019 or 20 by CarMa** but was at customs without being released due to the import ban. Said was released recently & they bought it from the auction. The first AD date is 10, Aug.

So I misunderstood this part, you meant you would go for the Mazda right? I was confused about 'given the choice between the Merc and a 14M Premio'. I thought you were recommending Merc, given the choice between the Merc and a 14M Premio. Then I was thinking maybe you mentioned 'give it a good restore' for the Merc as it's a bit old ð my bad... I will check it with CarChecks as well, do you think they can detect sludge? Also, 'Right now...IMPV the Mazda is the lesser of three evils.' Is IMPV for 'In my point of view'?

Sorry for bombarding you with all these silly questions @iRage But I desperately need your expert opinion ð Your advice & help are invaluable, it's an immense help, thanks a lot for being here helping us poor souls ð I was very interested in the brand-new badge of the Mazda, but was worried about the same things you mentioned and now I know for sure as you described it perfectly. Since you mentioned it, here is the Premio I checked last weekend, it's still available, maybe I can get a better deal like 13.5M if I offer ready cash ðĪ Toyota Premio 2017 - 14.2M 1ST OWNER 33,000 KM MILEAGE (All emission reports, service report available). Hi @mazdaspeed @Devinda_Z @kush @alpha17 @GayanR I'm looking at a 2016 Mazda 3, unregistered, brand-new car which is advertised for 11M. Are there any common issues in this model that I should be aware of? Following are details about it. It doesn't have SkyActiv engine. Brandnew Mazda 3 unregistered imported by the agents '0' mileage, 2016 late 1600 CC full option, tip tronic auto transmission, cruise control, auto headlamps and auto wipers. Factory fitted reverse camera with multi function display. Stormy blue mica exterior with black trim. Factory fitted Toyo nanoenergy tires. Inspected and serviced/programmed at Car Mart with records.

It's a brand new unregistered Mazda. Only 270km. Non SkyActiv engine.

@iRage I just came across a brand new 2016 Mazda 3. Only 270Kms on the Clock. The quoted price is 11.5M on the quick site. Feels like I can ride for a couple of years trouble-free. I also see 2013 Benz C220 with 100,000km to 120,00km going for around 12M to 12.5M. If trouble-free maintenance is the main concern, would you recommend 2016 Mazda 3 over 2013 Benz C220? What do you think has the best value for the money spent from above 2? (for a budget of around 12M). Thanks

Wow, this is great advice. I should take a printout and hang on the wall ð
