  1. Hello friends I have a problem with my starlet. Need your expert advice. I have restored an EP 71 recently. Brakes were overhauled. Discs and drums were refaced. There were only slight error to be corrected. Then brakes were fine. But after driving around 5000km it started to feel some irregularity on the pedal . Discs were checked and found some errors again. Refaced again and fitted with new disc pads. But after another 5000km the symptoms appeared again. I am clueless what is going on. Please shed some light on this. By the way the car runs very smooth, alignment is OK, No wobbling or anything.
  2. Try Maruchi Auto Delkanda
  3. Here goes...
  4. Try at Siri Motors Panchikawatte. AFAIK they were the dealers for Silicon brand in early 90's
  5. usually the switches on the doors other than driver side has little use. This might lead to oxide build up on the connectors. Remove them clean and apply WD40 or ABRO contact cleaner.
  6. Last weekend at Minneriya there were 5 elephants on the road However with the traffic stalled they peacefully crossed. There are several other places I have seen elephants on the road. Habarana Trinco route - Kithul Uthuwa ,Aluth oya area Siyabalanduwa Pothuvil Route - Lahugala Kandy Badulla road - Randenigala dam Medawachiya -Kebithigollewa road - Etaweeragollewa, Mahadiwulwewa area
  7. I've been using a Einhell for last 8 years. washing 3 cars weekly. Really a good machine. Serviced only three times during the period. Good after sales service at St. Anthony's. I've heard that Black and Decker is also a good one. Anyway in those machines the spray can be adjusted It is better to use a pistol type nozzle for the wheel arches.
  8. Fiat 131 ?
  9. When I was restoring my Wolseley 8, I got the existing bumpers covered by thin stainless steel sheets. However those are pretty straight ones rather than of KE20. But anyway a skilled fabricator can do this for you I am sure.
  10. I have used all these except Nexen. for me Hankook is the best
  11. Great. It's an Aronde .. over to you Croswind. Your turn..
  12. OK ..It's a French auto..
  13. Bit older one this time...
  14. I have used a CE110 for 16 years from 56000km to 274000km. very reliable car and easy to maintain. spares are freely available both new and used. AE110 is also the same.
  15. Do a search man. There are ample information about starlets in the net. However GT Turbo is at the top in Sri Lankan market. Automatics are rare to find.
  16. Yeah That is Y33.. Your turn JF
  17. ok. try this
  18. Easy one for Crosswind. It's your turn mate. Fuego is a very stylish car of that era .......
  19. Try this
  20. @ Trinity Of course TAAS are the agents here for KYB But they wont give discounts as such to promote dealers. Namaratne is the main dealer at Panchikawatte. earlier TOKIKO was available at Douglas but they no longer import it.
  21. Why dont you call Namaratne first. They are main stockist for KYB and you will get 20% or 25% discount on cash deals.
  22. @ Presea I don't think that Preseas are abundant like Sunnys here. That's why some pats are hard to be found. BTW original beadings / weatherstrips are always costly.
  23. I think the idea of recommending a Japanese Car for a beginner is 1.Common Japanese cars (like corolla , sunny etc.) are here in thousands 2.Therefore spares are freely available everywhere new and used 3.Mechanics here are well accustomed to Japanese cars so maintenance is easy 4.They are very reliable machines so a beginner can have relatively trouble free ride while learning about automobiles.
  24. Correct Fiat Ritmo ( Strada) over to you MD
