Thanks machang, Theowner of the 2000cc Sylphy was sayin that it does about 10km/l- which i think is a load of crap. How is the Honda EK3 everyones talking about. Are there any good civics which are economical. Im not a fan of the city. If I cant find anything nice im going for a Carina Ti Myroad YOM 2000 for 2.0Mil Sick and tired looking for cars.

Can you guys please tell me if the blue bird Sylphy YOM 2000, 1500cc is worth buying 1.9Mil or Blue Bird Sylphy 20XJ YOM 2000 2000cc for 2.3mil or a Primera TP12 YOM 2000 how is the fuel consumption in these vehicles.

Hehehe- its actually a bit true- bcoz he was going on and on about how good the car is and thats its a TOYOTA Carina. Actually the car is in good shape. But it doesnt havd alloys, stil got factory fitted speakers and all.Nothing fancy. The TP12 Primera looks very nice, ......really nice. Does it have a 2.0L engine? How well does it do on fuel and what about availability of parts for his. What about the Blue bird Sylphy 20XJ , YOM-2000?

Thanks a lot guys. I asked the owner of the carina 2000 212 for reduction in price, but he wont budge from 2.0Mil. Theres another guy with a Blue bird Sylphy 20XJ , YOM-2000.Its done 50.000Km. Thats available for 2.3Mil. It has auto and triptronic both 2.0Litre engine, and the guy says it does about 9-10Km/Litre, which I highly doubt. Plus the dashboard seem to have shifted a little to the left??????? And theres a cigarette burn on the drivers seat. Also saw a Mark2 Grande - i think it was YOM -1999 or 2000 . Looks classic- but thats 2.6Mil. Well im back to square 1 again. But I dont think I will go for a Vios.

It would be really awesome if you guys could recomend some models for me to go check. So far I have been looking mostly at toyotas- since thats what everyoen wants me to buy. I dont want a really really flashy car, soemthing for an everyday car, but which also looks good. Im not a street racer, so I dont need a reallllyy fast car.

Its got HD number plates, classic mettalic silver. Very basic. Nothing fancy.Not even alloys like I said earlier.

Really? How much should I offer them? Whats the going price on it these days? It doesnt have alloys ,got a basic cd player with factory fitted speakers. Thats about it though.

Thanks guys. I like the Carina too, but wanted to see what other options I had in that price range. Theres a 212 for 2.0mil is it too muh for a 7 year old car? Its done only 85.000Km.

Which is the better option? Carina 212 2000, or a Vios 2003? I know theres a difference in the fuel consumption, the Vios is said to have a better engine- but as an overall car - which ones gets the cake? Im not looking for street racing perfomance.

Btw - im not into racing. Dont want too much speed just a nice loking car with a bit of luxury.

It would be nice to have that extra bit of luxury. But as according to Shismo if it only does 6km/L then its not worth it bcoz i come through nawala everyday. Really want a Carina GT but cant seem to find one. Even a good Marino will do. But then theres that feeling of luxury in the Sylphy.

Hmm that doesnt amuount much. Are you really sure about this The thing is it would be nice to have a bit of luxury that is offered in that car. Theres also a Carina GT 1998, which has been brought down from japan through special permit.It had been bought by the owner at an auction in japan.Its clocked about 80,000 Km's. May be able to get it for about 1.8mil. But they cant transfer it to my name bcoz of the permit for 3 years. Plus - the GT badge is missing at the back and the dickey seems to be shifted abit to the left, possible accident? But new paint job. Saw another carina yesterday, previously owned by a policeman- the front doors have a teak panneling, but the rear doors dont, and the dashboard also doesnt have teak pannelin, plus the rev counter is missing - as in the dials and stuff-like it was never there in the first place. Is so difficult to look for a new car.
